Considering that they both have been selling these things at cost, or a small profit and last gen both were sold at a loss.. I am surprised that the price war has not begun. Good for Microsoft, the whole point of two competitors is better prices, and services!

games should be achieving what the majority of hardware demands for present/future. Which is 1080p. If lcd could support 2 native resolutions this would be different.
I agree that 60 helps, but not necessary. What is necessary is 30fps+ and zero dips/drops.
last of us 30fps on old gen, old rendering is not a comparison to 60fps on newgen hardware. What you experienced was low/medium settings vs high.
