I'm thinking they don't consider the 360 or the one failures. They had major quality control failures with the 360 but that's it. And the One is not a failure, only a moron would think that. Is Pepsi a failure because coke sells 2:1 or is the whopper a failure cause big macs sells 2:1? The answer is no they are not.

If I had to guess I would say obviously the games first, but most importantly is friends and word of mouth. I'm sure most every casual has a hardcore gamer as a friend and listens to their advice and through that word of mouth. It's why the 360 was successful. And it takes many years to recover from a disaster like the Xbox reveal, MS knows this and that is why we steady improvements to their brand because they know over time they can win some back but it will be next gem before they ...
If casuals are your argument then exclusives don't really play a part. Very few casuals buy exclusives, they buy the biggest names and the highest rated, if that happens to be an exclusive then I'm sure it gets picked up by the casual crowd. Like uncharted. I bet not many of those people picked up Nioh or Persona, those are for gamers with more refined tastes.
Mass effect 1, Mass effect 2, KOTOR, I thought those games had fantastic writing. FYI the same man that wrote all 3 of those games is writing the story for this The writing for this game should be really good.

@yellowgerbill I failed to mention in that timeframe I could have gotten one from gamestop online or Amazon they both had Mario cart and Zelda bundles for 2 days. And also you don't mention where you work. Gamestop and best buy get priority as far as I know then target Walmart and toys r us. That's the only places I ever went to as any others would have been a waste of time.

Meh I decided I wanted one 5 weeks ago and like the author said, keeping tabs online with retailers through various sites and visiting stores when we were out and about and I nabbed one about 8 days after I started looking. Walked into a BestBuy on a Thursday and they had just received 14 switches. If you want one and are persistent then you will get one.
In three years I've been kicked from the game world a couple of dozen times, which seems like slot but at 800 hours played it's very spaced out. Maybe an off day for the servers?

Obviously the Xbox users here don't care about PlayStation exclusives or they would play on the PlayStation, so your insults and jabs are pointless cause they don't care.
