The story was far from bland, it's one of the few games I ever collected everything in just so I could get all of the story. I would call it engaging.
Then you sir got a fantastic deal. I only said 30 cause I figured it had to be at least half off. I paid 60 and have never regretted it.
MCC is the only way to go. I like that they are giving the option but if you want those that bad then get MCC for 30 bucks and have a ball.

You guys defending this are clueless no imagine if you guys had invested all this money into to creating this game that has some sort of grind attached to it and then you developed a shortcut so you don't have to grind that much and charge real money for it then you're going to make the game to where they kind of want to buy the shortcut.. and if you don't think that's happening then you crazy cuz these people are trying to make as much money as they can.

exactly, even in The Witcher 3 with as good as those expansions were, in the first one there was a bug Quest where you were supposed to obtain all the ofieri armor and no matter what I do reloading saves I can't complete that Quest I just had to move on without it. They never patched it and that is unacceptable so that left a tainted taste in my mouth even with the Witcher 3 and as well as those expansions we're done.

There is no such thing unless it's free to play. A gamer should not have to pay $60 and then be bombarded with online only micro transaction filth. This game went from possibly great to gaurenteed crap.
