did anyone notice the R2/L2 buttons in the article, the look better than the D3, and i hope so as i never liked them on the D3
I believe they will offer BC with gaikai but I also think they will have some sort of hardware option, select models(like the 60GB ps3) as BC is wanted by a lot of people. As long as gaikai is an option and not forced, like if "you can ONLY play ps3 games using gaikai"
Some people do prefer the cloud for many different reasons, having it there as in option is better than not having it at all. I don't want to see it as only in the hardware or only in the cloud. ...
Very true, I personally think they will offer movies,tv,games,demo,music, etc. I just think BC will be offered in hardware, whether it is build in or an add-on as well as them offering with gaikai
I know gaikai is huge and will do many things, I just do see Sony using it for backwards compatiblity for ps3 games on the ps4. Why because it is going to alienate potential customers. Just looking at the US market 119 million people don't have Internet, that's a 3rd of their population. Now think about the other countries. Why would they limit themselves to only a fraction of said markets?

Those are very constructive ideas, the name change would be the best choice in my eyes, call it super Wii, or Wii 2, i disagree about the commercials though as I've seen the same one many times where a bunch of people in cube homes? And shows one kid throws ninja stars from the gamepad to the tv using touch, but it is a confusing commercial, I see them when I'm watching cartoons with my Neice. She thought it was an iPad add on for the Wii
Im only online cause I'm in a coffee shop, as Internet is not offered where I bought my house, also considering a lot of places even have 2GB monthly caps as well.
I could see it working very well in the future, I believe they are doing what some people call "future proofing" the hardware
I thought they had playstation phones already as they got something called playstation mobile,
personally I think they are going to reveal the ps4 and then show how "awesome" the ps4/vita combo is to improve sales for the vita while building hype for the ps4
I think it would be included in the hardware not using gaikai cause just looking at one country(USA) a 3rd of the population don't have Internet which is about 120million, that's a lot of people just in one market, what about Europe and Japan markets. sure not all of them will buy a ps4 but why alienate potential costumers.

I don't think they would just stream the ps3 games, as just in the USA there is 119million without Internet, that's a 3rd of the country, and just 1 country, what about all the other countries, I think that it would be a big number, and that could limit the amount of customers. I think BC would be put into the hardware.

I think if the ps4 sales are looking like this, MS likely won't release a new system, also I see terrible Wii U commercials, makes the gamepad look like an add-on... NOT a new system. We did lose some good studios last gen, hoping we won't lose more. I don't think we need a crash though, as I have played some great games, batman AA/AC, red dead, darksiders, dishonored, dark souls,etc
Ive been coming to this site for a few months now, and it does look that way. It doesn't bother me what kinda fan people are. I could do without the trolls or the useless comments, as I enjoy reading comments to see other peoples views on the subjects.
I find it funny though how people say MS is scared, exactly how does a corporation have fear.

I believe they are going to keep that d-pad design, as it's the same as the vitas just larger, I really hope the do something with the L2/R2 as well
What's wrong with the d-pad? The fact that they brought the directions together(like a larger vita d-pad) I actually prefer the vita d-pad over the D3 one. Also do the analogs look like they are going inwards instead of outwards?

Another link I have from neogaf shows only USA numbers but I don't think it's doing bad, it had a great start from what the numbers show but since then the monthly numbers are slightly higher than the ps3s. So I'm not sure of all the doom and gloom
Thanks for those sale numbers I was kinda wondering what the others were like early on. As I've seen comments saying it's doing well and comments saying it's doing poor, didn't really believe either side as I had nothing to base it on.

im not sure of pricing over there but i was under the impression that price were 1 for 1 when converting them for video games as europe always seems to be getting ripped. like hatever the new release is, if the price is 59.99, europe price would be 59.99 with their money, right or wrong?
