I feel sorry for those that were laid off, but honestly I take this as good news. EA is a terrible company, and maybe this a sign that they're finally feeling the pressure their poorly treated customers are putting on them. They also put a lot of pressure on their developers... Maybe I should be happy for those laid off instead. Lol
The only thing dumb here is this article...
Also despite whatever claims they may make, pirating is not a real issue for them to be concerned about. The process of hacking an xbox right now is so complicated and difficult to maintain that it simply isn't worth doing. I'd imagine the new xbox will be even harder to hack, even without the always online requirement.
I don't think it really matters whether an individual personally minds or not, it's about the principal. MS is enforcing a requirement onto their games that doesn't need to be there. One which could potentially cause problems, or make the console otherwise inconvenient or less functional than it would have been without the artificial requirement. It's simply illogical to enforce this requirement.
Lol pretty sure that's a typo. Even here in Canada shaw 250 mb/s unlimited internet costs $140 I believe. I think he meant $15, in which case that's a pretty good deal, although a 20GB monthly cap is rather harsh...
Not everyone can afford a smartphone. Also, this device is optimized for use on TV's, unlike smartphones. It also comes with a controller, so games are actually playable. It also has much better graphics than most other android media players, because it's equipped with an overclocked Tegra 3.
Does all that matter?
Ouya's not even released guys calm down, some good games for it are still in development. All that's available for it right now are the games that were already made for other android devices hastily ported over to Ouya. Of course there aren't anyways good games, the kickstarter for Ouya was less than a year ago!
Also, for those of you who are only interested in Ouya as a media center device...

You can download games and play them offline. There's no BS requirement to always be connected to the internet. If your internet is crappy or whatever you can still play games on the Ouya.
I think it's a matter of preference. Having a good challenge is absolutely necessary, the level of difficulty is the question. As long as the challenge is legitimate and engaging, then somebody out there will crave the challenge, no matter how difficult it is.
I will laugh so hard if it isn't revealed at this show. But at this point, even if sony never did intend to reveal it here, there's so much hype for it that they'd probably slap together a reveal prsentation anyways... There'd probably be an angry mob if they didn't reveal it...
@ ILive because they basically said so on their blog.
"To those of you saying or seeing various conspiracy theories about there being some other ulterior motive for this delay, rest assured that they’re all nonsense – literally the only reason we’ve delayed the release is because we want the game to be as good as it needs to be."
They better release it on PC alongside the consoles then. I'm sick of having to wait for no reason...
This is amazing, if it turns out to be based on linux and Valve does this properly, this could be the best thing that's ever happened to both gaming and linux in a long time.
It could potentially make consoles irrelevant and force a switch to cheap, standardized gaming PC's (no more console exclusives forcing you to buy new hardware just to play that one game you want). It would also remove one of the biggest hurdles impeding the adoption of linux. If I could play a...
I would agree, but their habit of delaying the PC release is really f*cking annoying... I WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME ASAP TOO ROCKSTAR!!!
Awe WTF delayed PC release AGAIN?! WHY R*? Why do you punish us PC gamers?? T_T
Cool story bro.
@MadMax Here's a simple observation; you're the troll here.
Why are you trying to make this a political debate? At what point did the blogger reveal his political stance?
I'm gonna be optimistic and hope for a 2012 Q4 release.
Mind you I'm not gonna be "cautiously" optimistic, I like to live on the edge ;)
List of PS3 exclusives I wish weren't exclusive: all of them.
Seriously, exclusives are stupid. I'm deprived of pretty much all of the cool looking jrpg's because I only have a PC. Why should I waste money on a TV and an obselete console just to play a few games? >:(
