I don't know. Seems to me like sex is the only thing some actual gamers complain about in video games. Gamers are always talking about how conservatives who slander gaming are so close-minded but when they (the gamers) hear about sex in a game all of a sudden it's unwanted. I'm sure most of the time it's just kids and teenagers just wanting people to think they're getting laid.
Why try to fix what isn't broken? Those rehashed franchises are what keeps nintendo alive. I for one am looking forward to the next Metroid, Zelda, and true Donkey Kong games.
Why in every article about sex do we end up with people saying things like "go have real sex." We can kill people in video games but it's wrong to have sex in video games? Whatever. I'm sure there will always be people like me that enjoy forms of art no matter how abnormal mainstream society thinks they are.
The ESRB just rates games. They can't actually ban games.
Never played all the way through the one on PSP, not that I wasn't interested I just didn't have the time, but this one looks like a potential buy.
My point is SC2 hasn't even been out for a month and it already has sold a large number of copies. What I forgot to point out was that MW2, and the first 2 Halo games are multiplat while SC2 is selling so much as a PC exclusive.
Title may be flamebait but it's no different than all the articles about Sony games selling better than their xbox versions, or those about how Xbox exclusives sell better than Sony exclusives or even those about the DS selling better than the PSP.
Ummm how long have those games been out?
You forget that console games cost way more than PC games, especially with all the sales Steam and D2D have. And a person can go an entire gen without upgrading their PC just like a console gamer has to go an entire gen without a new console, but personally I do think consoles are simpler than PCs.
What are you talking about, I'm also playing Starcraft 1 and 2 while running W7 64-bit.
"The only people offended by this are the iraq veterans."
Umm, no. I work with a lot of Iraq and Afghan war vets and they don't give two shits about things like this. The thought of being Taliban/Al Qaeda in a game doesn't even pop up in their mind when playing games with insurgent like characters.
It sounds like this guy doesn't like good games. His reasons for not liking the stealth games he mentioned clearly show he's either new to the genre or not a fan of it.
"Also, I understand when a horror game tries to make things a little scarier by giving you less ammo, but the lack of ammo here is ridiculous. It just makes the game too hard, not scary."
Seriously, have you ever played a survival horror before? Then he compares Fable to ...
Im American and even I have no frakkin idea how people can support fox news.
"360 is only popular in the US because most Americans hate non-american products. Not everyone, but a great amount. "
WTH are you talking about? Americans don't care where their products come from. Hell most of what we buy isn't even produced in the states. I've been living in Europe for about a year and a half now but if I went back home to the states Im sure I wont see people shopping in the store checking products for a "made in america" sti...
Um I dont know how it is now but for a while the only way to delete cc info without calling customer service was to add a new credit card to your account first which was robbery if I ever saw it. I know exactly how mikeslemonade feels. Those customer service reps may sound nice but they're assholes just like the greedy pigs running the MS corporation.
Hmmm... funny how anyone that mentions a game not on the list gets stealth disagrees. Somethings fishy here...
Funny, Im an IT. Not a manager though, still on the help desk level, but I can relate. Im still new to the field so Im always asking higher ups to lend me some of their knowledge but I've realized that if you go too far up the chain of command people start knowing less and less about things.
I have to agree with him. 3D and motion controls just seem like a gimmick to me and the big 3 know that the masses will eat up anything they put out these days as long as they put enough hype behind whatever it is they're trying to sell. Game design is become less a form of art and more of a means to a profit.
True. Some people like myself are honest though. When I'm at work and someone asks me about something I have no clue about I just tell them the truth, that I have no frakkin clue. Luckily I don't have to worry about being fired for being inept at my job since I'm in the military. +1 for job security =)
Well that's when PC gaming comes into the picture.
