It hasn't killed the gaming experience, but I do agree with the article. I especially hate how devs these days feel they always need to emphasize online multiplayer when in some cases the games shouldn't even have MP in them. And what the hell happened to split-screen co-op and bots? If you're going to concentrate on MP then don't do a half-assed job with it.
Dumb AI is perfect for stealth games imo. If the AI was smarter these type of games would be more based on luck than actually stealth skills and tactics. I would however like to see smarter AI in shooting games, especially friendly AI. Alyx Vance was decent but all too often friendly NPCs can't pull their own weight.

What has me confused is how after hearing all the negative feedback from their core fans Bioware has said that they'll make ME3 to be a cross between the first two and yet here they are making the same mistake they did with ME2 again with DA2. DA:O sold well above what most expected and here they are screwing with the formula.
You mean KOTOR2 and Neverwinter Nights 2? One which was rushed do to a short deadline and still turned out pretty good (KOTOR2) and the other which is considered by many hardcore CRPG fans as being slightly better than the first?

I strongly disagree. Like I've said on the Bioware forums this game is heading in the wrong direction. The more I here about this game the more evident it is that Bioware are catering to the masses with DA2. They're changing the things that people liked about DA:O. Nostalgia hits me hard whenever I think of the PS1 era. Some of my most fond memories are from lesser known games like Streak, Critical Depth, Ball Breakers, Dead Ball Zone, Omega Boost, Forsaken, and a bunch of others. I think I'll go play some playstation.

Seems to me that this is just a list of some of the more popular PS2 titles. There are other must play games out there. I'd definitely add ZOE 2 to the list for one.

Im sure someone has said this before but how the hell can someone come out with a review so soon? There will be enough content in this game to keep gamers occupied for months. Besides the gameplay mechanics and the visuals I personally don't think he could've truly touched on anything else in the game without playing it for a longer period of time.
