@wasabi
It's called consumer activism. You should look it up. Elda is forewarning potential buyers that xbox is an inferior product compared to Nintendo or Sony. He can visit and provide his thoughts on threads whenever he wants and won't stop advocating for quality gaming, which Xbox is not providing at the moment, until they bow out of the industry.
I don't understand why it's so difficult for some to just be kind to other human beings.
It's great to see developers telling it like it is. Everyone from Activision to EA to Ubisoft know where their bread is buttered and know first hand how much farther Sony is in development tools than Microsoft. I wouldn't be surprised if devs, who traditionally have been multiplatform go exclusive with PlayStation next gen. The value proposition is too great to risk being weighed down by Xbox next gen.
End the Xbox brand please, Phil.
Read the writing on the wall here and in other places. Save Microsoft money and gamers from headaches. Gaming only has room for two powerhouses.
Phil is a fraud. All he has done is surrender the Xbox console brand to PC and PlayStation and it has backfired spectacularly.
I crack up because if you read Reddit PC players on
places like /r/games make fun of xbox by saying you don't need the console and you're better off buying a PlayStation and a PC if you want to try Xbox games. It's true! Phil Spencer thought he'd grab headlines and goodwill and instead has compromised the brand.
...
Agreed.
The majority on here as well as media keep giving Xbox the most milquetoast pass. They don't want them. They need to bow out.
Xbox is pretty much done.
All Sony has to do is write a check to Activision so they could buy off whatever is left of the COD audience on Xbox so the next Call of Duty is a PlayStation exclusive.
Game. Set. Match.
Don't know why the media writes articles staving off the inevitable. Xbox is no longer relevant. N4G might seem like a pro PlayStation fanboy site, but if you look around it mimics every site on the internet.
I'm surprised. The PlayStation name is a top 10 globally recognized brand too.
Time to end the thing, Phil. Gravedigger and many of us on here would like to see xbox exit the market and focus on being a publisher.
That's probably the right move for the brand.
6 years ago? The Jimquisition and Dunkey videos came out just last week.
And the majority of YouTube comments and message threads related to the video, including here, acknowledged that both videos were accurate.
The majority consensus is that Xbox must go. If no one felt that way then you wouldn't see articles posted here and elsewhere that highlights Xbox's irrelevance and poor state. Now PlayStation is doing what it can to end the brand and e...
I don't understand the outrage. Just last week there were calls to boycott and hope for the Xbox brand to go away due to the Jimquisition and Dunkey videos which highlighted Microsoft's anti consumerism. Now that Sony is trying to provide the final death knell to the Xbox brand by enticing Xbox owners to switch by supporting Call of Duty's developers with cash and people are up in arms?
We should be celebrating anything that hastens Xbox's removal from the i...
Boycott Xbox. It's time to end the brand. If you're a fan of Xbox you have screws loose.
Boycott Xbox. It's time to end the brand.
I knew Kojima drove a lifted truck with a red, white, and blue punisher skull in the rear cab window.
Eh...
I'm sure Sony will get around to fixing it.
Or they won't since there really is no alternative in the market at the moment.
@Smokehouse
What state do you reside in?
If it was a good deal you'd see Xbox sales increase. In fact since GamePass debuted Xbox has been steadily losing marketshare. So one can make an argument that GamePass is actually hurting the brand.
GamePass is indeed bad for Xbox and bad for gaming.
Nope.
The One X is a disappointment. No one in my circle even talks about GamePass, and they have no exclusives.
I really do think they're no longer going to be in the business soon. And I agree with gamingunited. Microsoft is better off not making another Xbox.
Why wouldn't they be loyal? Look at the experiences Sony has cultivated over the years. Games like God of War, Spiderman, and TLOU have dwarfed what Microsoft have created in Halo, Forza, and Gears.
Such a stark difference in quality breeds loyalty. Sony knows this and they know their loyal fans, whether in the media or message boards, will continue to go to bat for Sony and stave off any astroturfing from Microsoft by letting consumers know how important and iconic th...
