You'll be able to chose if you like HDR or not and if you want checkerboard upscaled 4K (mostly, in some cases even native) or prefer a downsampled (higher quality) 1080p picture...or even higher frame rate, more details...as far as I understand what exactly will be different for each title since the developers decide how they use the extra power.
