Technically they still do. Activision has rights on the studio and seeing as IW has become a brand they are using it to fool the common consumer who is unaware of the recent turmoil to sell map packs. EA did the same thing a few years back with DICE. Most of the original DICE members had left but they were still using the studio name.
The reason for the bugs are at times harsh deadlines for what is being asked of a developer. Take MW2 if IW was given another year or even 6 months plus a beta that game releases in better form than it did. Same can be said for many games on the list. But part of the issue also falls on the QA team, many times QA will get in a habit of playing a game and not testing the game and therefore not find some of the more obvious issues. If they delivered realistic damage. The barrett .50 cal from MW1 and PRST-41 from World at war, would easily top this list. The sound of them going off screams "DEATH!". But when the target was hit it was like "Run, they be shooting". Nerfing damage for the sake of being NOOB friendly.
If a halo movie is ever made I hope it follows to spirit of the live action ODST trailers. Those trailers were really well made almost got me hyped for the game they were so good.

The only thing I will pay for is Dedicated server support for all PSN games. That's it. Don't care about any other feature or addition, but dedicated servers for all would be worth the price of a subscription.
Budokai 3 was the best DBZ game released don't why they don't use that fight engine again.
Not sure if I want to play this. GoW 3 left a foul taste in my mouth with its open for a spin-off ending. But seeing as this takes place prior to GoW2 which is my favorite I might have to pick it up.
Arcade Breed - NES raised right here. I've been gaming over 20 years, back when games didn't have to hold your hand. But now a days that's all people go for the simple and easy. But to each their own as long as there are some developers that create great games (Naughty Dog and kojima productions are my favorites this gen) I have no problem, but if something like MW2 becomes the standard of game productions that is when I will most likely stop.
This game is ok in small doses but I will never play this the way I played MW1. MW1 was top of the hill, MW2 is side of the hill overlooking the sea of Crap it leaves behind.
For $30 buy MW1 and play a great game.

There are servers in any P2P games they're just not used for gameplay. Matchmaking, deciding host, host migrating everything not related to gameplay is handle by a server. Example Halo 2 was P2P but the main server were disconnected so even though the game itself was P2P there is no way to get a game started cause the main servers are no longer active.
EA should forget about owning the NFL license and expanding their horizon. What EA should do is bring back the good ole' MLF. MUTANT LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
Man, a well made redo of Mutant league football would do a lot more good then a slightly improved madden game year after year.

I was disappointed by God of War 3. All the story element were insanely good especially the ending except for the very end. But there were 3 things that kept be from really calling this game a masterpiece.
1. Being locked into an attack animation. Especially the L1 + Square animation. I died so many times using this move. Why couldn't I cancel this mid animation into a dash if I timed it correctly? Especially towards the end this little tweak to the gameplay would'...
But in this Industry even best friends fight over money. R2 and the Latest Ratchet sold very poorly given they had a better user base waiting for them over R1 and ToD. Insomniac maybe very close with Sony but they are a fully independent dev and as such they can decide to go Multi minus established IP's anytime they choose.
Same thing happen to my Mom around PS2 launch, she tried to surprise me with one and shes the one who got surprised and left $200 poorer. But now there's one less sucker in the world.
