@red2tango I got a platinum on World at War prior to DLC and it didn't go away after downloading a map pack.
Bring back NFL Gameday, What!What!
@assclown the reason for the 30% blackscreen is so the display is squared up. If devs did a true 50/50 split the game would look stretched on HD TV's. If you play on a SD TV more of the screen area is used, but most games are designed with HD screens in mind first so that's the reason for the black area.
I wasn't referring to the basic handling of a system. I'm referring more to the "Rules" one must follow to keep their system working. For the PS1 is was flipping it upside down, keep it elevated with the vents opens and so on. PS2 saw more of the same up until second versions of the system. For the 360 its wrap it in a towel, put caps under the rubber feet, make sure there's nothing else around to let breath. I just don't see how these things are acceptable anymore. ...
Funny, I'm reading some of the comments and it reminds me of the PS1 days. "If you do this....." or "if you place it this way......." the system will work. Sad thing is that was 15 years ago you would think we wouldn't see product failure in such a large scale anymore.
Capcom vs Mortal Kombat & Mortal Kombat vs. Capcom. Similar to how they are handling the tekken mash up. Those would be cool.
I like this decision as a middle ground for the very reason that to me it says two things.
1. You bought the product so feel free to use it as you will.
2. If by some chance your use is not covered by the manufactures warranty you are on your own.
The only gray area I see is the unauthorized use of Apple's app store because by all accounts most of the use can be considered stealing. But overall the decision seems fair.
I'm the opposite of most consumers I would need a very good reason to buy something as simple as a costume but for a new character/s I would gladly do so, because there is actual work involved. Moves, animations, balancing all that takes time and effort so I would gladly pay for that work. Costumes on the other hand require 1 master per character and just change the color 10 times. Work? Yes. Worth $1 a piece? Not for me.
@baltis its obvious you don't play fighters. SF2 is different from SF1, SF3 is different from SF2 and SF4 is different from SF3, yes it shares similarities with 2 but its a whole different game so how has capcom been milking it for 20 years? Tekken seems a little more similar from game to game but not having followed the series I really can't comment on it.
I would've liked a vs. Capcom game as well just because I want to see fighters from rival schools come back (if a rival school fighter made it to Super that would fucken awesome). But for this game double sumo tag team all the way.
I really don't get the hype for 3D. I mean it bombed pretty bad in the 80's and I really don't see it succeeding this go around. Outside of Captain EO or a few other "Cool" amusement attractions its simply not worth it in the long run.
Samurai Showdown please. That game was sweet!
Buy them a DS and if your lucky like me that's all they'll need while you do your thing.
This is the last post regarding this issue I promise. And this is directed mostly to Art, Superfan and Huda. I never once said I was perfect. I know I've done dumb and stupid stuff growing up but I honestly don't see how confessing my sin to another man in a building rectifies for those sins. I was aware that what I was doing was wrong and I changed those things in my life and now while still far from perfect I try my best to do my best. I don't pound my chest after any "good...
@akfgsuperfan if I'm dead why would I care? And ahead of time I want to apologize to all on this thread for these religious post.
I have no Issue with God or the Spirituality behind God what I have a problem with is religion, it is extremely selfish. If a person wants to be "saved" they have to devote themselves to the religion to grant THEMSELVES salvation. If they would like for their families or somebody they care about to be saved, they essentially have t...
@liquefiedart. Really! Did you really just turn this into a religious issue. So, Kojima will be better served by finding God, instead of doing what he loves while living. Man get that shit out of here. I have a family and my number one priority is to make sure my son grows up a respectful member of society after that for me personally its about trying to help the world one step at a time. Whether it be by letting a homeless person clean my windows for money, helping an old lady who locked her...
Of course it is it only had some of the biggest profits in the last few years. I think creativity is the only thing dying in the gaming industry as a whole especially on console. There's on so many years sequels will make money. Look at tony hawk, Guitar Hero, Medal of honor and other game series that have stagnated its only the beginning pretty soon half the market will be overflooded with sequels. But hopefully I'm wrong.
I was honestly disappointed with GoW3. A bunch of the game didn't feel Epic just long winded and the Ending What the f@ck. I have bought both Drakes, Hotshots golf, Warhawk, Resistance, Ratchet and Clank and this was the first Sony first party exclusive I sold. Something was missing from the game, as it stands I think a few hours added to GoW2 would've made for a better conclusion to the series. But hopefully Santa Monica studios can redeem themselves if they continue with the series....
@ceekay, really? So because she's dumbass wal-mart should bite the bullet. If she would have got mugged and beat in the store that would be different, but this is here fault. That is what is wrong with America now a days. If kids grow up dumb or shoot up a school it because of television, video games or music. There never seems to be any blame put on the parents and that's where 99.9% of the blame belongs.
I hate MP trophies as well, that tends to kill the online community for a game before it even gets started. Because for the first 2 weeks you have a bunch of people playing for trophies only
