but in no way would feel cheated by a price reduction, if it means more consoles sold and that in turns means more games being exclusives or at least first to the PS3.
I would feel cheated if i spent $600 and one or two years from now there is nothing to play cause not enough consoles are out there to make it worth developing for.
I bought it for the GAMES that are gonna come out for it. If i had to pay an extra $100 to get 6 years worth of gaming then so be it,...
they are already taking a loss already. Why not lower the price and put out as many consoles out there as possible and make their money by selling games for the console.
Its rare when a system makes a profit when they are launched. Most of the money in this industry is made by selling games.
Look at it this way on average it's costing them about $875 to make the system, when they sell one they only make up about 3/4 of that so they still take a loss.
Now ...
from day one or at least after the initial hype was over. $500 and $600 is way to much to pay when 1. There is not more then one must have game, 2. Your not getting anything good for at least 6 months. 20% seems steep but never should sony had launched with such a price. If dropping the the price is a way they can get more systems out there so they can make more japanese games that will come over. then by all means drop the price. I just want more games to come out.
Summed up, if user uses any unlicensed periphieral. such as cables, controls, power supplies, ETC. and that product makes your system malfunction your warranty is void. Look it up its all there.
i liked the first game, and now i get to play this game. great and it's an PS3 exclusive (atleast for right) even better.
but delays are just the way it goes somtimes.
what can you do about it?
but as of right now i dont think the PS3 reads bigger extrenal HDD. I haven't tired it with mine but am not sure it does.
my downloads more then 50mb, isn't that right 360 fans. I guess MS is following sony with bigger arcade downloads.
GASP what will you do?
i do bow my head in respect to XBL as the best online offering availible for a console, it's the acutal console itself that i have a problem with. Outside of a GPU and CPU upgrade everything else in the box screams last-gen.
that there is truely powerful potential in the hardware of the PS3 and are ready to tap into it.
Developers like Criterion, isomanics, kojima productions, and polyphoney make my glad i bought a PS3.
for about 5,500 pesos. yeah 5,500 pesos. which translates to about $550 dollars american. People read the line again it says $838, that's dollars not pounds or euros. It's gonna launch for what sony said it was gonna launch for, a little over 500 pounds/euros. READ THE LINE PEOPLE!!!!!
five million games sold.
2 miilion consoles shipped with Around 56% sold
about 1,120,000 consoles sold in 2 territoies. not bad for a 2 months old system in only 2 territories.
to spare i can set aside about 20 for my games no biggie.
360 fans say it's BS when anybody claims that the current crop of PS3 games, only uses (x) amount of it's power, yet when MS cameout and said that Gears only uses Half a DVD and half of it's true power, then it's believeble. either way i dont care i just want better games for my PS3. March and april are not that far away for me to wait.
as long as gamers buy them, but that dosen't seem to be the case for the 360. What was the most popular game at launch CoD2, and they had good games come out, Saints row, dead rising and Gears of war but outside of GOW non of these game had any type of hype or extended press. And now a game that looks like it might sell well is Lost planet. All games that seem to sell well on the 360 platform are shooters, so new ip's dont mean anything if their not being bought.
The PS3 dimise is still to be seen, and if they don't sell, i really don't see the Wii selling more then the 360, but you just never know how many parent would rather get a wii then a 360 for their kids. So it might still be possible.
I agree, i have me PS3 and am looking foward to great titlesm but as of right now am playing NBA 2K7, and really nothing more, but it's enough to hold me over, for right now. But sony needs to hurry.
Sad, just goes to show that you really can't get somthing for free. Part of the blame does go to the radio station for not doing their homework, but most of it falls on the mom. From what i can gather from the story she had a job. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Now here kids grow-up mother less and the dad is forced to balance so much...Death and burial of his wife, how to take care of the kids and work at the same time, plus his own personal torment. It's nothing more then a F'n toy, if you cant aff...
Nintendo and Sony is even though their arrogent,is Nintendo trys to make companies do thing their way with technology that is dated or close to it. NES (cutting edge) SNES(cutting edge) then N64 came out and they were still using carteridges. While Sony was the first to make games on CD playable. So developers left nintendo so they wouldn't feel the crunch when developing game. So Sony won that battle. Then round 2. PS2 is the first system to put games on DVD allowing developers to further e...
Killzone 2 way to hard. Part of the reason i HATE halo is all the hype surrounding a game that is average at best. Story is awful, action is not all that great. Point A: shoot aliens Point B:shoot some aliens Point C: More of the same. Online is it's best feature as it is pretty fun. Resistance falls under the same Category. Overhyped average games. Except Resistance has a better story.
There is such a thing as to much PR and Killzone 2 falls into that category. When we get we'll ...
