This actually doesn't mean much but it is a good sign. Remember all of the articles we had about PS4 topping pre-order charts and all the fans boasting about how it was going to obliterate everything in Japan? You can have chart topping pre orders and still tank in sales.
Yeah, games should have same sex relationships, but developers should not be forced to include them in everything they do.
It's a wonderful addition and gives people choice. Any developer that does it should be supported.
However, if a developer doesn't do it, it's no big issue.
Sony doesn't care. Don't expect them to pump out money on deals and first party titles. They're just sort of praying that indies and third parties will keep the Vita afloat at this point.
Yoshida came out and said that it will be getting less first party support than before. This is obviously extremely troublesome. It looks like Sony gave up on it. This means no more Uncharted, no more Killzone, and who knows what will happen after SCEJ finishes their last batch o...
3DS has plenty of JRPGs, but that has nothing to do with failing or not.
When a company says that they will be supporting a handheld less than they did before, you know something is wrong. Sony bluntly said that there would be less first party support on Vita. It's a sad things when the company that owns the product gives up on it,
Ha! You must be out of your mind if you think I'm spending 10 bucks on a mobile game.
I'll wait for a sale.
Angry Birds Trilogy is on Vita.
It was released for Vita last year. I guess nobody noticed because it was released like a year after the 360, 3DS, and PS3 versions.
This. The lack of first party support for the Vita is kind of off putting. I'm surprised Sony was so blunt about coming out and saying that the Vita will be getting less support from first parties.
They shifted all their resources to the PS4 and didn't look back.
I seriously didn't expect Sony to give up that easy. I was expecting them to not let the Vita go down without a fight, but they completely stopped caring (Well, SCEA did anyways. SCEJ tri...
@ NewMonday
True that they both are a little slim on western support but the 3DS does get more western support than the Vita does.
That's why Sony is putting a huge focus on indies?
Indie games are becoming a huge part of the industry, like it or not.
The difference is Nintendo backed and paid for the port. It wasn't even Kamiya's decision or idea to port it to the WiiU.
If they ported it to PC, the money would come out of their own pockets and no one wants to pay for it.
"The japanese just aint really into foreign products..except our designer clothes and music. "
False. People in Japan will happily buy foreign products as long as it appeals to their taste, look at how well companies like Apple is doing.
Microsoft just doesn't know how to appeal to the market, unfortunately. Microsoft Japan sits around twirling their thumbs like idiots and act surprised when the console bombs. Microsoft needs to put someone else...
They won't sell that much, especially with their line up. Sony isn't even cracking the turf right now.
Unfortunately, sales for all hardware is abysmal in Japan right now.
Even the 3DS isn't doing as great as it once did.
Actually, they didn't abandon the GameCube. The GameCube wasn't succeeded for the entire length of the 6th generation. The Wii didn't come out until the 7th generation actually started. By that time, the Xbox 360 was already released.
I think it's safe to say that the WiiU will last for the entire 8th generation. It's not like the Wii came out in the middle of the GameCube's life, as you are suggesting. The GameCube actually lived it's full life; ...
@Nerd4games
You can get one for $200 off of Nintendo's online store.
It will last more than two years.
Don't expect to see a successor for about another 5 years.
Also, you can buy them for less than $300.
Good lord! Did the PSP version really have that many jaggies? I do not remember it looking like that,
It's not necessarily a game. These are just tech demos and there is no guarantee that these will become their own releases. It is very likely that these concepts will be absorbed into a bigger project.
I usually don't agree with your comments but you have the right idea with this one!
The Legend of Zelda: Sandwich Maker
Nobody is saying that it isn't impressive. It's actually very impressive, as it shows there is more interest in the console than previously thought.
Does this mean the XboxOne will shatter sales record and top the charts thought? No, it doesn't mean that. The PS4 topped pre order charts but it's underperforming right now.
