Im just hoping all this talk & rumors leads to masive price drops of current gen. Ive had my ps3 going on 4+ years now & i want to try out the 360, but im holding out until we get another price drop, i dont consider all these stupid gift cards after the fact as a discount, once they start knocking these prices off MSRP i will be at best buy that day to buy one. I understand why sony & ea & others are doing this. I dont agree with it but i understand. I have been wondering for a while now though, why cant game devolopers &/or sony/xbox install some kind of fee for all used game sales applicable to used games? Or charge a substantial fee per year for licenesing or something along those lines. I cant comment on anything to do with online since i stuck to SP only. I do not remember glitches in Alpha Protocol. The biggest complaint i remember hearing about in reviews was people saying how aiming dosent work, but the problem they didnt realise is this game is a 3rd person rpg first, your characters aim sucks ass in the begginging, you have to level things up to become a good shot. The game was serisouly a lot of fun!
I personally dont care for MP in majority of games. I am pretty much strickly SP & i get all my games from gamefly. So this route they are taking gets no money from me. Some games that have added features that you can buy might interest me. The last DLC anything i bought was added weapons for Mass Effect 2.
Alpha Protocol & The Sabatuer are honestly both on my top 15 games of this generation. I still dont understand all the hate towards Alpha Protocol & I just overlooked the sabateur. Both games were great & alot of fun.
Singularity was ok, it was fun....estenially it was a recreation of the bioshock formula, but still a fun game all & all.
xphear thats funny i thought the exact oposite. I hated killzone 2 & loved Killzone 3. Personally i think the steps in kz2 was one of the worst ideas in games in a while. It wasnt fun it was just memorizing where people would be & dying 50 times, thats not fun gaming.
the real truth is nintendo is the kiddy "entry" level consule. We all grow out of it eventually. For me it was the n64/playstaion one era. I got the n64 for a christmas present then 6 months later saved up & bought a playstaion one, i had both systems back then & ended up spending all my time with ps1, next generation & since i have stayed with sony. My son who is now 3 is interested in playing games, he plays a little ps3 but loves his nephews wii, which they all play. ...
i for the most part like the xmb i think the only thing "wrong" like many people have mentioned is its not customizable. I also think the need to set up a coverflow type system for music, maybe have an app that loads for music. Some of us like me have over 100gb of music on our ps3's & scrolling down from a-z artist takes a very long time. Plus the look is just old music wise IMO. There are very few games that gather my interest in the nintendo lineup, but since the put a picture of mother 3 i peaked an interest. Earthbound was & still is one of my all time favorite games. I get all my games from gamefly. I pay $25 per month & get every new game that comes out on launch day. I know at least some of my money is going towards deveolpers, since gamefly has to buy the games at a premium from the devolpers. I used to buy games from gamestop but after i sold all my ps2 games at a garage sale i realised, "why do i keep these games?" So i sold all my ps3 games & now took that money & have had almost a years worth of gamefly for that price.
after doing further research i now understand this is a 3ds title which is cartrige based. I understnad how they could pull something like this off if the game save stays on the game, i dont agree with it but i understgnad. This idea simply cant be done on conseles where data is saved on a hdd or flash & nothing is saved on the actual game disc. Not a fan of the idea but it wont affect consels
