@The Order is visually engrossing, but uninspiring once you start playing
The opinion of one person is uninspiring. Wannabe critics were saying the same things about Wolfenstein before it's release. Turns out that Wolfenstein is going to be one of 2014's best games. Go figure.
The PS4 is still selling because it has the hardware and a diverse library of games to match. Microsoft seems to be hedging their bets with online multiplayer. I myself find online multiplayer shooters and games an exercise in mind numbing mediocrity. But, to each his own I guess.
I agree with you partially. The new ideas, the action sequences and firefights, should be combined with the old school TOMB exploration. The two flaws of the Tomb Raider remake, the optional tombs and the absolutely pointless multiplayer. A complete waste of pixels and RAM.
I would like to see the next Tomb Raider not have a lame multiplayer. Thank you.
Pointless article. Sony doesn't need to prove anything or show anything other than games that showcase the PS4's capabilities. Drive Club is one such game.
@I don't understand the butthurt reactions to this game either. I think it looks great!
Casual gamers who have short attention spans. For them, if you can't shoot, score, or damage something it's not a game.
The game is about survival not fighting. Alien Isolation is supposed to be a "Survival Horror" game, not a game where you gain superiority over your enemy with overpowered weapons.
For an indie game, it looks pretty good. Any news on a release date?
It's a trade show not a beauty contest. You can rate individual performances, but it makes no sense to ask "who won E3."
I don't know about anyone else, but i'm looking forward to playing this game.
I'm sure that everyone will or should agree with what i'm about to post.
@PS4 & Xbox One Won't Be Able To Match The Raw Power of A Decent Gaming PC Anytime Soon
To the person who wrote this and obviously believes that this article states something more than what most people already know;
No shit!
He should be depressed. After creating the 20 minute gameplay/cash grab Metal Gear Solid:Ground Zeros.
The game trailer looks like a movie trailer, literally.
A Sony smartphone being capable of playing Playstation games and streaming video? It would be the equivalent of a political coup in the gaming industry. That is an epic idea.
I'm definitely looking forward to checking this game out. It's unique to consoles.
The game's developer are trying too hard to make the main character seem cool. He just comes off as a corny cliche.
Whether the game is open world or linear has nothing to do with the quality of the gameplay. Some of the best games i've played i've played are linear. I compare this nonsense to fools who keep harping and whining about graphics and multiplayer as if a pretty game with no depth is worth playing as long as it has multiplayer. The casual gamers need to shut the hell up and pay attention to the people who have been gaming on consoles for 10, 20, or even 30+ years. There is no doubt in my...
Who cares? Who is this person?
I completely agree. Most of the action RPGs available right, SUCK! There are only a few jewels out there right now. But for the most part, action rpgs seemed to be designed for kids 12 and under.
This trend won't change simply because the PS4 platform has games for every taste, every genre. Online multiplayer is interesting for a week or two, but multiplayer "only" games lose their appeal quickly once the initial "wow" factor fades away. Wake up Microsoft. Gamers aren't all into to the mindless run and gun type of gameplay.
