Too many cooks in the kitchen probably means they're trying to rush to get the game out. We'll just have to wait and see.
Who ever wrote the title misquoted Masake Kawase.
“We started developing Yebis 10 years ago. For each new platform (18 as of today) we ported it to, we have always been keen on extracting highest performance by taking advantages of the specificities of the platforms” Kawase explained. ( “So again for Xbox One, of course we use eSRAM for internal calculation and internal buffers. The unified memory architecture is less of need for us since everything happens in the GPU.”)
They aren't demos. They are full games from PS3 and i'm streaming them to my PS4. I won't pay to use a game for 4 hours and I don't know anyone who will. The current rates are test rates and are not final.
I hope this game has massive areas to explore like dark souls or dragon's dogma.
Nabari No Ou is 10 times better than the kiddie ninja anime. How old are you any way?
A well deserved one bubble.
They aren't journalists, they're attention whores.
Agreed. Except for saying the use of buzzwords like casual gamer is a sign of a fan boy. I find that casual gamers are turning this console generation into a cry baby fest that isn't centering on gameplay and great games, instead, this generation is turning into a playground fight that is based on graphics, resolution, whiny attitudes and superiority complexes. They are called casual gamers because most of their gaming time is spent playing games on smart phones that provide games at an i...
The problem with gaming PC's is that they constantly need to be updated and they're expensive. I don't know what world you exist in, but in this one, most people don't feel like shelling out 1000 dollars plus just to play video games, especially on operating systems that are prone to catching malware, viruses, and crashing because memory is being sucked up by an automatic update.
Giving up? Why would anyone give up on a console generation that isn't even a year old? The only people who would give up are whiners, impatient cry babies, and those who keep ranting nonsense about graphics.
The title and the article are just silly.
@"Why does it cost so much?
Two possible answers here. The first is the one that Sony will give you: it’s still a beta, and prices are preliminary – they can change. The second is the truthful one: publishers won’t let Sony charge any less. If renting a game through PS Now becomes too cheap, then sales will dry up. Publishers don’t want that, so renting becomes really expensive. It’s also to stop game retailers from getti...
When a developer churns out repetitive crap, the end result is financial trouble.
And the lesson for today is...
Stop pre-ordering something that you will never be able to touch, trade, or sell.
I could care less about Titanfall and I assure you, most of the people on this sight who have a PS4 don't care about Titanfall either.
Those prices mentioned in the article aren't completely accurate. The rental prices vary from game to game starting from 2.99 to 4.99 for a 4 hour rental. Then there are options for 7 days, 14 days, 30 days, and 90 days. The maximum length for a rental varies depending on the game. The prices for 4 hours of gameplay are pretty steep in my opinion. I've already email feedback.
1.99/4.99 - 1 day
4.99/7.99 - 3 day
7.99/10.99 - 7 day
7 years sounds about right.
Pre-orders on Amazon are free and you will get the game on release day. I've pre-ordered Wolfenstein and Watch Dogs from Amazon and had them both delivered to my home on release day. No muss, no lines, no fuss.
If all else fails you could always call your bank or credit card company and tell them you lost your card and not to accept anymore charges on the account. Stop whining and buy a physical copy from now on. Problem solved.
1.99 - 1 day
4.99 - 3 day
8.99 - 7 day
12.99 - 14 day
The highest rental rate has the best discount which will encourage more people to rent games, such as RPGs that tend to be longer at the highest rate.
The author is trying to infer that Kawase is calling the PS4's architecture inferior to that of the Xbox one. Kawase never said that and the PS4's isn't inferior to the Xbox One. The PS4's GPU core is still superior to that of the Xbox One. GDDR5 has the advantage in terms of GPU processing power. The only advantage eSRAM gives to Xbox One is memory bandwidth, nothing more.
