Thats not accurate. We have no idea what type of optimization the full game went through in the past 8 to 12 months also its not like the XSX version runs at a solid 60 in full 4K...it doesn't it just runs slightly better at an average 50fps to the 45 on PS5. the only way your getting locked 60 is in the 1620p checkerboard mode and thats locked on both
The article title here is misleading. Actually watch the video....it states that the XSX is 2160p 50 FPS max and the PS5 is 2160p 45 FPS max. so neither run at 60 in 4K mode, it does state that both offer a 1620p mode that runs at 60FPS. Im sure further optimizations have been made and the final game will perform better. it is just a demo after all.

Why on earth would they need to drop it to a bullsh*t resolution of 1080p to match the minor FPS difference here? Also its a demo so who really knows what stage of development it was built on. I hope thats not true for final code because I'm going to be pissed buying the limited edition for a janky version
FINALLY. Look I know there are other features to add but this felt really last gen considering the hardware in the XSX. PS5 has native 4K and HDR to its OS, the XSX should have a default 4K res at least. Glad they're fixing this.
Definitely check this game out when a complete version releases. Any more I feel like the fighting genre should be renamed to DLC as to more accurately describe it
when its $70 people might just have higher expectations.....
I don't need a full campaign walk through but a few more trailers and a live demo of an early area would help
Heavily disagree. I'm excited for the game because yes its Halo but will I blindly buy it or give it a pass because of that, no. I skipped the Master Chief Collection because of the ship it now patch it later crap fest that it was (is?) and Halo 5 was not anything to write home about either. Halo is not COD, I expect quality writing and gameplay from this series and if they don't bring their A game then I'll skip this one too. The reveal for this was a disaster so I definitely wan...

Sony got the PS4 right, and did it from day 1. MS deserves all the TV, TV,TV, bashing, and its a good thing or the Series X might not as great of a device as we ended up with. . Until MS stops authoring discs for the Xbox consoles with the lowest common denominator (Xbox One) on them I will continue to buy third party games on my PS5. Smart delivery really annoys me at this point. I don't want to pay $70 for a Series X title to only get the base XB1 version on the disc and then "download" the XSX version. I really wish they would just sell separate versions, I know why they don't but I just don't buy as many games for the XSX as I could because ...
As well we all should be. Digital is disposable, controlled and the ownership over it is one of the biggest lies in the modern world. In the future you will own nothing, and be convinced you're happy about it. Its just a long term rental that can expire at any moment. There a limits to physical media and preserving it but you can at least use it on your own terms.
I agree but again it is still a cross gen title. Its also the multiplayer so perhaps the campaign will offer better visuals. Its really a shame they couldn't do more with this game given how important Halo is to the Xbox brand. Still I'm looking forward to it

I loved LFD but this game having some stupid $99 day 1 version just pisses me off. I'm tired of preplanned day 1 patches and DLC. put out a complete game and offer DLC later. Id really like to be wrong but starting off like this right out of the gate just annoys me. No its not the only game that does this, far from it. I'm just sick of this trend, Godfall was like this too, made it an instant no buy. Though to be fair that game did not look to be a good game where as this does
Limited editions likely within a year, the PS5 silm and possible PS5 Pro (if they keep that business model) at least 3 years. The only thing they need to do now is keep supply up, there are other minor improvements that could be made though minor revisions without an entire redesign cough *coil whine* cough, but right now people just want to be able to buy one
ND went from one of my favorite devs to a company I'm not even excited for. Jason Rubin and Evan Wells made a much better team then what they have now and to me the biggest mistake will always be letting Amy Hennig go in favor of Druckman taking a more front and center role. ND games are beautiful and they clearly have talented artists but druckman is a pandering hack whos political views skew obviously too far to one side. Until hes gone I'm done with ND.

Anything can be "spun" depending on how you view it. The reality is the XSX/S has sold a good deal less then PS5 (6mill to 10mil) by last I saw. However the fact that its selling faster then any other Xbox before it is still a good thing. it shows interest and momentum for the brand, which yes they said this with XB1 and that under performed in the end. Still given how the XB1 faltered its good to see improved momentum for the Series, its not easy instilling confidence after a misst...

OK......no and hard pass but ok. Look Zelda TP is a very good entry but imo its had its time and 3 versions on (Gamecube, Wii, Wii U) I say let it rest. Especially since it will inevitably be just a slightly touched up port of the HD Wii U game. Id actually prefer a Wind Wake HD port over TP. That said Oracle of Seasons/Ages done in the new Link's Adventure style is vastly more appealing to me, and I hope that's what they do.
Not from anything Ive seen. I love my XSX but MS does not have enough exclusive titles and while Halo will sell like crazy I don't think its going to put a dent in the perception that the PS5 has as the more desirable of the two consoles. I really don't want this to come off as a one sided comment because its not like the Xbox doesn't have appeal and drive behind its sales but its not PS5 levels from what I have seen.
