I want to focus on another thing from the video, the region locking. Actually PS3 games do not have a region lock. I think there is only a handfull of japanese games that are region locked, but I think it's part of Sonys regulations that publishers are not allowed to use region locks. Yeah, absolutely. The sad thing is that many parents think it is the publishers fault, they seem to forget that it is not the publisher who rears their kids, and not the school or any other institution only; it still is their responsibility for the most part. Too many parents think that others should or will do it for them in todays society and then they wonder what has become of their children or complain about how uneducated or 'difficult' they are.
Don't Apple products and probably every other device like this (PC, other tablets, smartphones and even consoles) have an option to request a password before making a purchase?! I think so. (Unless in-game purchases work differently, I'm not aware of that. But you don't get the otion for them, simple solution, don't give your device with the billing info saved to your freaking child.)

I'm actually surprised. I thought it would get stricter, but it's the other way around. Publisher's can do more to promote their M-rated games now. That's a good sign imho.

What's the raison d'être of this article? All it does is summing up what we all know and asking how it's gonna be different besides the graphics and which version will sell better. Did someone really have to write an article about that. Just put swap Watch_Dogs with Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag or or any other current and next gen game and it's gonna tell you the same..
Yeah, too bad that Sony doesn't own the IP :( I'd really like to see what Naughty Dog would do with it after all these years and after what they have accomplished so far, even if it the new Crash just became a downloadable game.
But well, let's see how this turns out now.
Obviously the author doesn't have a clue. Forget about the HDMI format of the device and the cable. The current Slim and Super Slim versions of the PS3 is totally capable of putting out 3D in 1080/24p and lossless audio at the same time. I have a movie on Blu-Ray that is in 3D and uses DTS HD Master Audio (at a 3.8 Mbps bitrate) and it works totally fine.
I won't go into detail about all the technical stuff here, but you can easily google it and be better informed tha...
Yeah, Crystal Dynamics were clever hiding the loading in this game. I really appreciate that and it shows how good developers can achive that. Either loading sections while being in another section, or during cutscenes or while being in the tunnel that connects the sections (for the optional tombs). They sure did spent some time on this and it's great.
Not sure if you have finished the game, but there was a moment in the game where Crystal Dynamics clearly wanted to tease players and give them a little treat. And I'm sure Lara realized how usefull 'that thing' was as well :D
I got two:
1: Travel the world (again). It used to be so much more fun to come to different locations. And it sure works in moderns games. Look at Uncharted. The first one was good, but just like Tomb Raider on a single island. And the other two games were fantastic.
2: Less action, more exploration and actal TOMB to RAID. There were only a few puzzles in the main story, but therefor a couple more that were optional. I did like the optional ones, but they alw...
Already finished it with 100%. It was good and a lot of fun. But it felt more action packed than other Tomb Raiders. Uncharted is closer to the old TR feeling than this, but this is still a very good and fun game. They do deserve it.
