Right there, today with 800$ you can build a pc that will play games that will look better in 7 years then what the ps4 will be able to do.
And that's not considering sale on pc... Usually save 200-300$ vs what the cost of console game PER YEAR on my pc. So yeah, this argument is hands down a lie.

To be fair, a PC that you buy 800$ will out do a ps4 you get for 400$ + 400$ for online. You get better visual, better price for games. But consoles gamer are clueless about that.
720p 20 fps vs 2560*1440 60 fos is 4 times the resolution, 3 times the dramerate. That alone would worth it for me.
Now there is some more eye candy and better texture, that's awesome. +MODS in a few months that add gameplay and better visuals and you'll never turn back and play the console version.

it's 400$ for the console, 400$ for the online(8years so that's 870$ right there if you count the game) but hey, console gamer can't really think that far can they. It's only 4-5$ a month right?

a gt 8800 released in 2006 in november for 199$ outdo a ps3 today in the latest game... so much for "optimization"

Just get out, I've been gaming at 2560*1440 on single card for 3 years now and it play fine on all title I've tried (metro last light, bf3, skyrim, you name it)
Considering a 7870 get over 120 fps I don't see that really shocking that the 7850 can do 60 fps on ps4...
edit: that was in 720p, in 1080p it's above 60

every mordern game support 4k, the thing is you need hardwar to back it up.
doable with 780 sli at the moment. In 2-3 years it's going to be good for single high end card usage.
