Meaningless if it doesn't have strong third party support, good exclusives constantly, not 1 each year, and have a strong network service.
I stopped reading when it says Sony responded to Scorpio with the PS4 Pro which is ridiculous. A company can not make and deploy a new product in the market just weeks after hearing about another product.
PS4 pro was already in the making before Microsoft announced Scorpio and it could be the other way around.
Looks odd to be comparing a console and handheld devices. They should be compared on their own category. It is like saying... The b34 light boat has finally outsold the ford focus on the US. Sounds odd right? But then someone will say "they are both transportation machines"
Anyway, still, that amount is nothing compared to what PS2 sold worldwide.
Considering it is a handheld device that is not capable of the quality of current gen consoles, I guess it is easier as it is not demanding.
Maybe this is good news for those 3ds ports coming to switch.
Is happening... In the Xbox universe.
This is the same lame fan boy attitude they take when Xbox is looking at something.
Xbox is loosing at sales... What they say? Sales doesn't matter. Xbox is loosing at power... What they say? Power doesn't matter.
Now Xbox is loosing its exclusives and what they say?
Exclusives doesn't matter!!!
Be dead sure that every time they say something doesn't matter or is irrelevant is because they are ...
Exclusives are becoming a thing of the past on Xbox. Playstation and Nintendo are fine. Just because Xbox does not have exclusives anymore, does not mean exclusives are irrelevant.
Xbox exclusives? Xbox does not have exclusives. Their games are also going to be available on PC.
Very impressive list of Playstation exclusives and if you look at history, Playstation has always dominated that department.
I want The Last Guardian and is not on sale :(
I own the most powerful console here in the present moment and is called PS4 Pro. I don't need to rely on dreams of a distant future.
Are you crazy? The PS4 Pro can do native 4K now in the present moment while Scorpio does not even exists and is more than a year away. The reality is that nothing from Microsoft even come close to the existing real products in the market.
Keep hoping in the future while competitors are dominating the present moment today with existing products.
If Scorpio does not manage to show a huge, marked and outstanding difference against the PS4 Pro then they are in trouble (apart from not having exclusives).
A few framerate or little resolution bump will not do the trick because people will not see the difference and will not pay 500+ for a new console when there is one (a year from now, the PS4 Pro at 249) that can do the same.
While FF15 may not be perfect, at least I like it more than all FF13 games with lightning which no matter how hard I wanted to like them, I didn't.
It was their best decision because since they no longer have exclusive games and they are still relying heavily on the same forza, halo, gears cycle, somehow they needed to go around that emptiness and give the option to play old games.
Interestingly, backwards compatibility did not helped Microsoft to have a better position against the Playstation which, considering the huge gap and market domination, it was going to be impossible anyway.
Waiting for the update where I can play the way I want without being penalized instead of being forced to play the way the developer wants me to play.
So, Microsoft totally forgot how many times their network has let down its users and made a commercial saying their network will not let them down.
Honest version of the commercial :
Hey, we have been down as many times as PSN but our network won't let you down.
Wtf 😁
It does matter when they are selling it like a "console". If they just say... Hey this is our new handheld device that also plays on TV... Then I would understand but releasing the switch being underpowered to consoles released 3 years ago? Nope. I will not swallow it.
Nintendo strategy lately is about making an underpowered device so they don't have to invest a lot of money and waiting to hit the jackpot miraculously like the Wii did.

I am having a great time with FF15 and after losing faith in the series, I am glad this game is very good. Reviews could be a reference point but at the end, what matters is your experience with a game and in this case, my review for this game is a solid 9.
There is always going to be a complain for something. If they make it turn based, then we are going to get an article saying how they long for active combat.
And the sad thing is that I am seeing the same trait with the Switch... Low third party support, underpowered hardware incapable of matching quality of current 3 years old consoles, gimmicks, few exclusives coming, no good network services on pair with PSN, Steam or Xbox.
I am seeing the same strategy Nintendo has been using for the last few years: make an underpowered gimmick and pray it is a massive hit like the Wii.
Is not gonna happen a second ti...
