To call Heavy Rain a "QTE Event," is beyond foolish. You obviously haven't played Heavy Rain.

And Uncharted 2 is a 10+ hour single player experience packaged along with an addicting competitive multiplayer component and and incredibly implemented Cooperative mode. Let's not forget the countless unlockables.

It's apparent that after trying to attack these two great games, one being named Game of The Year by nearly every publication on the face of the planet ...

I use it as a ballpark between scores of 5 to pit some games against others. That's about it.

I think the price is just too much. They should release three chapters for 7 bucks as far as I'm concerned.

Get Ratchet. Confrontation is host to a dying community that will migrate to Socom 4 in a few months anyways and a ton of issues with polish graphically and as far as networking goes. You will also have to download upwards of 5 patches that almost all exceed half a gig. It's nightmare to get into, it's a nightmare to connect to a game, it's a nightmare to lean with the sixaxis, a nightmare to knife people, hell, it's a nightmare to simply navigate the terrible, laggy UI. I mean seriously, t...

This honestly sounds like a great game already.

Loos like all of the Treyarch naysayers/IW fanboys can shut up now after how hard IW failed with MW2 (in terms of quality), and just how responsive Treyarch is to their community. This article proves that Treyarch care about the fans feedback. I mean, there's a reason why CoD 7 is set in Viet Nam.

Furthermore, the knifing in MW2 is absolutely horrendous. It seems like the CoD community jazzes over the use of a knife and...

Are you serious? My brother is at 32.5% completion.... He must've put in much more than 40+ hours.

I cannot stand the guys in the first God of War that like go underground in shadow form and own you. They're pretty good in 2 and 3, but in the frost one, there's seriously nothing you can do. Lets not forget the deathblows in Fallout 3.

And there are TONS in Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

Or, MS could just make to so that once you fork over the fifty bucks, you can create as many accounts as you want?

Actually, scrap that. Why don't they just make Xbox Live free like PSN? They can even strip it down so that you don't have access to the market place, Inside Xbox, etc.

The fact that you should have to accommodate your lifestyle preferences towards a multi-billion dollar company that is consistently nickel and dimming every consumer that buys their prod...

I can totally respect that. Not much good has come out of the Americans either.

- Modern Warfare 2
- Xbox 360
- Guitar Hero

To sum it up, America is a the forefront of the casual gaming market, which I feel is destroying our industry.

Those are just three that set me off.

(Sorry if I offended any fans of the Xbox brand name. There was no illl intentions in my comment, I just don't like Xbox very much. I'm not an Xbox hater, I jus...

I completely agree. This generation, I prefer the work of the American developers far more because we are the ones that are truly melding a cinematic experience with a videogame. This point is no more prevalent when taking into account just what has been produced over the past couple years. (Uncharted, Mass Effect, God of War 3,)

While other developers from other nations rely on more contextual or movie-like means of telling a story, Heavy Rain and Metal Gear Solid 4 respectively...

Codemasters has pretty inconsistent work, but you did miss Studio Liverpool and Evolution Studios.

Though there are many great British developers, I definitely don't think they're at the the top. They face some pretty tough competition.

America
- Naughty Dog
- Santa Monica Studios
- Insomniac Games
- Sucker Punch
- Infinity Ward
- Bethesda
- Bioware
- Zipper Interactive
- Bungie
- Valve

For people like me who love Podcast Beyond, this a huge bummer. He is a real great guy and a respectable figure in gaming journalism. Definitely sad news and nothing to laugh about.

This is how it should've been done before... No scrap that, these should already be in the game.

I have a Mac Book Pro and have been looking for a great platform to buy worthwhile games. My respect for Valve has gone up quite a bit. Now all they need to do is admit they were wrong about PS3 and release all of their franchises on Mac and PS3.

Bad Company 2 will definitely outsell God of War, but I think GoW III will be the top tier game of March that both the press and the gaming community go crazy over. They tackle different markets anyways, so who cares. I already have Bad Company 2 and am buying God of War 3 day one.

Nearly every squad I've ever been in, every single person has a microphone. Way to label an entire community of people. You're just like Gabe Newell.

The only issues I have is with the in-game store and the fact that my VIP code won't work. Besides that, sometimes I get dropped games and cannot connect to EA online. But in-game, everything is as smooth as butter. They should release a patch that fixes some of the pop-in though.

Thanks for the support. All you need to do is take a few writing classes, and you're golden.

I myself have a keen interest in writing and gaming. In fact, I write for Playstation Lifestlye, and love the site. I greatly respect Sev and the staff, but I just cannot find the time as of now to produce much work. It doesn't help that there is a complete lack of a salary or the receiving of review copies.

In the end, both gaming and writing rule my life, but right now they're just passions until I can convert them into an actual job. I have great confidence that I will be a g...
