I think MS might be in for a unpleasant surprise next gen. If Sony comes out with PS4 BC at the start of the PS5 in 2020, at $449.99 or less, with TLOU2 compatible to both PS4 & PS5 on one disk at launch MS might see them self in second place again. But if Sony comes in all cocky at $500, no BC and no Major exclusives at launch might look really different landscape. MS is pretty much were Sony was 2 years left of this gen, what cha gonna do? Hold all major games back till launch of XB2 or...

But that's probably the end of this generation in 2020 or at least for Sony. 2013 is when they both launched, I'm sorry but by this time there should be an overflow of well scored exclusive games. That's just not the case with MS. Ya at the start of a console life you expect it to be a little barren as developers are ramping up with final console specs. (excluding Switch).

I wonder if that is what the 1.01 update might fix on release. it’s odd that a lower resolution performance setting is running worse then the 4K CB version. After all game is not out technically so I’m sure reviewers were playing without patch

Not at all close to what digital foundry said:
4K CB was the best way to play pretty much a solid 30 FPS with a few instances dropping to 28fps.
Performance mode raised FPS to 45 but would have much bigger swings in FPS and that would be way more distracting.
Hell no 2020
Same used to get riff for PS3 on-line also but it was more jokingly, but I also knew that Gears, Halo (not my cup of tea), Shadow Complex (on PS4 now), and Forza were all great games. Therein lies the problem... This gen if some people don't like a certain console they just outright say the game(s) suck. When really it's more it's just not your cup of tea, or more likely your perhaps a really jelly. Last gen., it seemed much less so.

It's funny you say that. I went back last week to finish GOW3 on my PS3 and that game looks friggin amazing even now.
wow I mostly just listened to it and would pop video up for a second here and there and every time I did it was just stunning. This is going to be such an amazing game it looks like. Finding it very hard to wait 7 more days.
