I believe the 360 receives that title because when you think of Xbox you automatically think of Halo in the (mass) publics eye. Most of us know it has more games than that but even on this site what games are constantly brought up and compared to...Gears and Halo.

The PS3 is just starting to pick up steam, by the end of the month I believe a lot of Xbox "fanboys" will be leaving this site and saying that it's too PS3 bias.

You were probably being rhetorical but I think MS does it to prove that it will compete. Regardless of whether it wins or not they figure they've got their name in the hat so they are a force to be reckoned with.
They should spend a good deal of money on Japanese PR because they aren't buying it. (Figuratively and literally) I think they have games that the japanese will like but they come off as good as Sony's advertising here in the states.

Not to jump in to you guys argument but bluray is where it's at. HD doesnt' have the support whether it's superior or not. Bluray leads in says and support and as far as retailers go that's all they care about. Which one is selling? That's why they love the Wii. It fly's off the shelf faster than PS3 and 360 combined. They aren't fanboys so they could careless what is better.

I'm excited about Haze. It's seems like a nice change of pace. There are so many sequels and third iterations coming down the pipeline that this will be a nice breath of fresh air. (or Hazie air :-) )

Most of the people on this site and sites like this will be the only people who know that the there is a difference in framerates. Most casual gamers care more about what controller they're playing it on than the framerate.
It stinks that EA didn't take the time to get it up to 60fps but what are you gonna do? If you have both systems get it on the 360 like me. If you have a just a PS3 pick it up and you'll never know the difference.
The kid saving his dad is news enough but the fact that he wants a game console makes it N4G news worthy.

I'm not going to be as graphic as you Bordello but the fanboyism on this site is ridiculous. I've never seen so many people looking forward to bad news. I mean this isn't tanboyism anymore. This is just plain 'hatin' for the sake of hatin.
Both systems have good attributes. I prefer the PS3 but I own a 360, no big deal. I don't want the 360 to fail because it does have good games and keeps Sony on their toes like every company should be.

Why does Sony need to compete with one game? Halo 3 is a huge awesome game and (aside from Madden) is the number one seller and carries the Xbox brand name on it's back.
You really can't say the same for the PS3. There's FF, and MGS but there's also a host of great games that do really well on the PS platform.
So while Xbox RELIES on Halo. Sony doesn't rely on one game. Diversity is a better business strategy is it not?

Good job MS, you're going to make a fortune with this game. This is marketing at it's best. I hope the game is as good also. I won't be preordering it but they can put my $60 in the bank as well.
