Yeah, I think it's beacause reviewers throw out 10's far too often. Review scores this generation are a complete and utter joke!

You can now buy new weapons and armour! I haven't really followed much with AC2 after being so utterly disapointed with the original but that was one of my biggest gripes. Having a big open world to run around in but very little to actually do.
I've gone from, First impressions last, AC sucked (one of the few games I've actually traded in) to viewing the new one with an open mind. It won't be a day 1 but it has now appeared as a blip on the ol' radar.

Where's the upscaled hi def remake of 1,2 and 3 boxset ala God of War. If ever a series deserved that treatment it's MGS!
Hmmm... Interesting one. If you finish a game on your first playthrough in 5 hours or less and you payed a full price for it, it's too short.
It took me about 20 hours to finish MGS4 on my first playthrough and I loved every second of it. I've completed it since to get the TBE award and completed it in less than 4 hours. The fact a game CAN be beaten in 4 hours doesn't make it any less of a game if the first run takes a while.

Cool idea but one of GT's big selling points is the sheer amount of vehicles.
Unless they do historic racing with Nortons and old Triumphs I don't see that many bikes being available. I'd love to see a custom paintjob/farings mode but the whole customization (in looks anyway) has never been one of GT's features.
If they were to add Harleys, they would need to get the sound right, but I'd be fearful of putting my windows out everytime the bike started!
Can't wait for the game. Loved the demo on PS3, dissapointed it's apparantly not up to par with the 360 version but it's far from unplayable.
The game is just batsh!t crazy, definitely my sort of thing and being a huge fan of DMC, NG and GoW (DMC before the others if truth be told) the moves are way over the top, inside out and upside down!
Such an early 2010 release is also great, there's usually such a dry spell at the beginning of the year this will be perfect...
Would be interesting how the physics go. Would they use rediculously hard Superbike gameplay where if you go too fast round a corner, you're off the track and out of the stadium or too slow where you just fall off.
Or more arcadey Burnout/GTA physics where you're welded to the bike and the thing can corner at super high speeds...
HAHA! When I mentioned bikes in GT5 last I was litterally slaughtered by posts saying NO BIKES IN MY GT! (Where are you Deep? =) )
If they do introduce em, I WILL be buying GT5. Up until this point, the game looks stunning but not something I would be getting as I'm not a big racing fan. Bikes would persuade me otherwise though.
They would need to allow wheelies and endos tho. Going past the finish line just on the front wheel would look awesome with the GT repla...
Same problem here. Had the issue for a couple of days, I've just moved house with new broadband so thought it was down to that. I just keep trying, get's to 79-94% then errors but if I keep trying it sorts itself eventually.
Good to see It's not just me or my new broadband.
To be honest, the long install time seems to represent Capcom games in general. It's great to see Devs like Naughty Dog produce such amazing quality without the need for installs.
The installs really don't bother me though, the one game I think has the worst install process in PS3's catalogue is also my personal favourite game this generation... MGS4.
Devil May Cry 4 had a 20 minute install. There have been a few fairly lengthy installs on the ol PS3 but I think DMC4 was the only one (at least the only game I own which takes that long)
I put Uncharted 2 in the other day when I first got it just to get the install out of the way if it had one. That was all I was gonna do, there was no install and by the time I ended having the joypad pryed from my fingers I was on chapter 3.

I use my PC for artistic applications but I'd much rather play an MMO (BIG Everquest fan) on it than a Console. I'm really not a huge FPS fan so that aspect of the PC doesn't really interest me. I've played many AMAZING RPG's on PC. Planescape Torment, Baldurs Gate series (MUCH better than the console versions) The Elder Scrolls series, Fallout series, Diablo series... The list goes on.

The new Castlevania is probably my most anticipated game at the moment! Can't wait to see what Kojima does with it. The voice actors lined up are big names and from the trailer they sound very cool. Gameplay looks pretty good from what I've seen. Combat looks amazing, I just hope there's a fair bit of platforming and puzzle solving... We will see.

ON TOPIC! I so want this game, I love a difficult game and I love RPG's I can't wait for this title but I can't afford it right now. Hoping I'll be getting it for christmas... Scratch that. If I don't get this for christmas, I'm gonna be pissed! =)
It's funny you say that. I've never been a splinter cell fan, I've played a couple of them but never enjoyed them at all. Yet this one is the first that I think looks really good. Early trailers of Sam mashing some guy up in the toliets looked full on brutal.
I fully admit I'm biased because I'm a huge MGS fan but I think Splinter Cells latest outing looks really good. To me, it looks a lot better than previous outings.

Oh please! Most of the hardcore gamers AND fanboys couldn't care less about motion controls from what I've read.
It's just Sony and Microsoft wanting a slice of the Nintendo motion controller Pie. Casual gamers aren't going to fork out the kind of money that Natal is rumoured to be. Hardcore Gamers mainly will prefer to use the controller already in place.
Not sure what Sony is going to charge for their version but again I don'...

I played the MP beta and although I'm not a big online player, I had a blast once I got the mechanics down. I'm actually looking forward to taking this one online.
