I still go back to the original time and time again. I have to admit I was slightly dissapointed with the game but it has enough to keep me coming back for more. It's a very pretty game and also a great challenge!
I hope if there is a sequal they will work on power ups, the weapons for the most part are pretty uninspired and although there are uses for some weapons in particular I find myself going through the whole game just using the standard fire power.

Oh I completely agree with what you say about romance being added for no real reason or other distractions that take away from the story telling. But I really do think Bioware is one developer that know how to do things right in terms of story.
Was just thinking about Neverwinter Nights original campaign. I remember going through that game with my number 1 priority to save Aribeth not rid the city of plague(I hate Paladins! But her story really moved me, maybe I'm too sensitive...

As a side note, not every game is a FPS (although it seems like it these days) and I'd much rather play any other type of game with analogue sticks than a mouse/keyboard.
Exactly what I'd expect from most Halo gamers. Even though I'm not a fan, Halo has been tried and tested with a controller and it's huge fanbase love it the way it is.
I'm really not into the whole motion controller buisness, be it Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft. I prefer gaming with a controller and I'm sure a lot of gamers feel the same way.
The only thing I see motion control good for... Is the casual market.

Bold yes but I think it's in Biowares power to do so. I remember feeling a fair amount of emotion when playing BG2 on the PC right at the beginning of the game. They are great story tellers and I think a game is always special when you start feeling your own emotions being tugged.
For me though, the game that stands out the most would have to be the end of MGS3... *cough* yeah, sorry I think I have something in my eye *cough*

Not 100% sure about the GOTY edition but if you were to buy all the DLC seperately you'd probably buy the game about 3 times over... There's a LOT of DLC!
Haha agreed! Many a time have we had a 4 player (that's 4 people aged 30 and above!) local session and we've been in stitches either due to dumb play from one of us or fun/strange animations while playing the devs levels or finding a particular gem of a user level.
The unfair platformer 1 + 2 springs to mind. It's really cool to see how well some of the creators are getting on with the game. There's some very talented people in the LBP community out there and it's great to see...
Racing fans who own both of the HD machines this gen are in for a great time over the coming months! Forza3, GT5 AND NFS:Shift... Kinda makes me wish I was a racing fan =)

I bought My PS3 for MGS4, I won't be getting GT5 as I'm not a huge racing fan. I would say PS3 has enough different big name games to not have just one centrepiece.

Heh, just what I was thinking. I never actually got to play the 360 version so don't know about enemy content but a 1000 enemies with each weapon and the guillotine throw trophies are definitely going to take some time.
I was dissapointed that the original Sigma on PS3 didn't have trophies (but seeing as it was one of the PS3's first games it's understandable. I'd much rather have Sigma2 than a patch for the first game) I loved the first game enough to go through it on all diff...
