PSVR will likely trounce Oculus Rift but that doesn't mean Rift won't be successful
I'm gonna buy into to it to help get it started. I'm going into this with the belief over time it will grow word of mouth once people experience it and realized they can now have full virtual experiences in their own home. I do believe like this article that after that period more will buy it simply as reason to experience a few cool games or movies in it. Then it'll build over time and snowball like he says. Then full blown AAA titles are constantly released for it. Movies will b...
A snowball effect is not immediately. Therefore the games they showed early have no bearing on what he stated. Besides they already said that game show was not for big announcements PS4 or PSVR. My understanding of virtual reality is similar in that there will be a time of casuals trying it first. Then there will be a word of mouth period where eventually having experience it many will gravitate to it over time. I do believe that is exactly how it will play out.
Can't say it any better. Most those Xbox articles have flame wars written in the title. Making bold unfounded claims at times. Complete opinion pieces. Sometimes fly in the face of reality. Speculation. My favorite are the move the goal post articles. Lol.
I think it's not only gonna be a great year of exclusive but also I think Sony's E3 this year will blow us away with lots of exclusives this year that are future games. I feel like they are just getting started in 2016. Similarly to how PS3 got going a few years after launch
It'll release this time.
I feel the blowout coming. I can actually see PS4 and that momentum coming, gaining steam, exclusives, VR, sales data, price cuts, good will among casuals and gamers. It's almost upon us. Victory lap time.
Yep that's actually a strategy they employ at Microsoft. FUD. I'm guessing you knew that. Hence the reference. High five for reference.
Ps4 is starting to rock and roll on exclusives. Here comes that period of time where Sony builds that huge library up after a few years getting started. Just like the PS3 and PS2 before it. Now they are turning it up a notch from here on out. Just chugging along. Smooth sailing blue skies.
You know it! I am stoked.
This looks like a major blow in the momentum department for Microsoft. Halo 5 should be doing better as a result Xbox should have sold more consoles. I'm guessing next year won't be any better if Halo can't move the needle enough
Didn't see that coming. At least not with Halo5. That's a huge franchise. I personally thought it would move more Xbox consoles and sale high. The failure to do so I think is a major blow to Microsoft and not momentum of any kind.
Tomb Raider got annihilated. Nuked from orbit. COD does well no matter who markets it. I'm not surprised at all these numbers.
I don't think these are accurate numbers. However they sound low enough that even a slight inaccuracy is still pretty bad sales. It sounds like this game will need a significant boost on the PS4 console to be considered a success. I'm hoping PS4 gamers despite the exclusive snub buy it. I don't want the franchise to stop making this game because of lower than expected sales.
Pretty rough numbers.
Maybe the writer of the article had a auto correct mistake in words?
Maybe it's tongue in cheek?
Yes it's still the underdog heavily. If you believe different then you are on drugs or delusional. This is about features and games? Ps4 has 2016 filled with exclusives and virtual reality coming. Sales? Then this article has bad timing. Troll bait seeing as the November sales are right next to it. I understand they are trying to write or will the Xbox back into competition. Its just not happening in reality. The sales gap is even wider. This time last year Xbox had better momentum agains...
I'm tired of the hardly any games saying. Battlefront, COD, Witcher 3, MGS all still games. Lots of quality 3rd party games more than any can want. All the best versions too. It's still lots of games.
Ps3 won last generation too but whatever Xbox is getting dominated now anyways.
