Yes. Agree. This is a very interesting time in gaming to watch. I feel like this is as good a move and landing spot for Kojima it possibly could have been.
The LeBron James of developers just chose financially smart. It makes sense his target audience for a new company just beginning had to choose wisely. He had no choice but to choose Sony if he wants his newly formed company to succeed. Just look no further than Tomb Raider to see the evidence. That game was a well known established game. This company isn't established enough to take a chance on Microsoft where his audience traditionally has not been found as evidence of all sales numbers ...
That's exactly how I described it too. PlayStation veterans know this is how Sony always operated. Now 2016 is showing clear evidence of that same cycle.
2016 and beyond its fact PS4 has sp many games. That tired old argument is done from that point till the end of the generation.
This is just the beginning. Now most games will flood to the console leader in fanbase. The gap is large enough now that it makes sense financially always.
It was when PS2 and it is now. Ps4 is very diverse so that means it's great for all types of developers. I think the whole gaming ecosystem benefits from a Sony led generation.
Yes. They built up the library. It's only year two and yet it looks like 2016 lineup is leaning that way heavily.
Yes very close. I think this is gonna be a great race down to the wire.
That's what they should turn their focus on now to compete with the PS2. It'll keep them hungry. Outsell that system by releasing great games, slim console versions, better prices, Virtual Reality, nice bundles. I think they can beat PS2.
This E3 and 2016 is probably gonna be one of the best years in gaming ever for Sony. It's shaping up like it.
Sounds like the blame game has already started. It's unfortunate. From all I hear it's a classic Tomb Raider. Maybe the best
Sounds like it. I think he was given the option quite or be fired. Maybe he just wanted to leave before it's labeled a failure in sales. Maybe he is just ready to move on. It's sorta weird timing given the sales reports.
I wouldn't mind another stealth military game in the same vein as MGS or Splinter cell. I'm hoping a whole new creative experience using his own ideas as a game. Something that is his dream project and he will put all his passion in.
Yeah there is a ton of games. It's overloaded. I'm glad I bought the PS4 it was easy to predict after a build up it would start releasing a whole bunch.
Yeah even his logo choice is well thought out.
Well they have a new shiney home with Sony now. Brilliant developers deserve greatness and a free to express environment. Now they have it.
Metal Gear Solid. Drops Mic...
I know. I mean in general this will be a great year for Sony. Their E3 will probably be highlights of Kojima exclusive, Virtual Reality, and other huge games. They are launching Virtual Reality this year. They are releasing Uncharted and a slew of other titles. Street Fighter. It's gonna be a megaton year for Sony.
Yeah only every Zone of Enders and Metal Gear games are great. You know how many games that is? That's like 8 games of near perfect masterpieces.
Without a doubt the best possible way to break off on his own. It's a very interesting future where he takes his own company and creative ideas. I for one am hoping all goes well. People know Sony allows creativity so it's a perfect storm it feels like.
