It's not up to us to make Nintendo compell us to want 3rd party titles on their system. It's up to Nintendo to create a beastly machine where all the 3rd party titles are the bes versions. While doing so not alienating half their library because pushing unique control schemes that are too far away from conventional to at least play most 3rd party titles. Function and gameplay are important in a controller. The edge it gives in competition. So if they provide a highly functional contro...
This. That's exactly why it makes sense to push hardware over anything. Push it into the next generation. Giving it all the best versions of 3rd party games which is important to me and obviously this generation with PS4 so far.
Great summary of the situation. I think it's time to write other articles that don't include comebacks or catching up. They could steer this conversation towards other things like just games and virtual reality. Maybe retrospective views on how we got here.
Yeah! High five. That virtual reality is finally here to buy at home.they need to go ahead announce the price. It seems like 400 is the sweet spot. I hope it's not over.
If we are asking this question then no doubt it most likely is true. Nobody ever asks questions like these unless part or all of it is true.
Unlike Pachter my predictions began before PS4 blew out Microsoft. Mine never changed. Kinect would fail before it did, PS4 blows out Xbox, stronger hardware before resolution videos, Kinect would be removed before it did, Sony would start having better exclusives as the generation got older. These are things predicted before the generation started by me. Pachter wishes he had my track record. I should have his job technically. Lmao!
People may not like what I say or maybe how I say with such certainty. It's just from knowledge of consoles of decades owning them all. So far everything I have said has been spot on. PS4 dominant, it wouldn't be close, 2015 wouldn't make a difference, 2016 will be much worse for Microsoft. Idk maybe I'm just too sure on my predictions. These are just things that look obvious to me. All I have to do is look at the games and consoles. Virtual Reality for PS4 is landing. It all ...
I think you are right on half your point. On the other half I think virtual reality will be a few hundred less on PSVR. That doesn't mean the price being lowered won't be for the reason you stated.
It could make Nintendo back into the game. It's probably it's chance to revitalize Nintendo if they have decent hardware. I'm hoping they push PS4. I'm not counting Xbox. If it's not pushing PS4? Then that means it's probably not doing so well unless it's cannibalizing Xbox sales. Which I wouldn't mind because maybe it pushes Xbox Ones next console sooner than later. Xbox just need to reboot.
Half is not good competition. It's not even competitive at half. They are doing ok sales wise but PS4 is officially in its own category now. Now it's how much can they sell vs PS2 or how many virtual reality units can they attac h to each unit.
That's not a serious argument to make. Xbox hasn't even been respectable there. PS4 is having good sales numbers. A few million isa far cry from a few thousand.
One of many records that will fall. Up next it's coming after Xbox and PS3.
Oh no that was 2015. This is gonna be it's worst year in fact. PS4 has it's guns ready. PS4 is striking back. It'll be a big time blowout by the time this year is over. Sony is gonna lap Microsoft. I'm just being completely honest my prediction. No bias influences that prediction whatsoever. Unless something unforeseen happens for Microsoft.
Buying all the better versions of their party games too. Which effects first party exclusives sales on their own console. Seeing as that's nearly all third party games are the better versions on PS4? That's a lot more competition against its exclusives sales than Xbox has. Simple math. I didn't even include the larger library of Indies. The larger variety leads to a more spread out sales pattern naturally.
I hadn't realized it was that one sided. After all the exclusive talk by Xbox I take one look at this list and immediately would pick the PS4 list over Xbox. It's not really all that close really. No wonder sales have been so good for PS4. Congrats.
It's a great piece of hardware. The fact it's selling so well right now at its current price speaks to how great virtual reality is being recognized. PSVR an only capitalize on that more. I think there is room for two. One for the broader audience and one that still doesn't good as the premium PC version. The PC version is it's own separate crowd. So in that regard it works out well for both. I think Oculus is competing more with HTC and other PC versions than PSVR honestly.
Out of a hundred? There is a good chance even some of them will be great games. Not include the ones listed as bigger titles already.
They hardly had any games like Gran Turismo, Ace Combat, Drive Club, Eve Valkyrie, No Mans Sky. Not full great games. This is hardly comparable in that virtual reality might have a few niche or shovel ware yes but also more real games than those others. Plus games unique to virtual reality as well as movies.
Ace Combat, Gran Turismo Sport, No Mans Sky, mechanical games, shooters, exploring are not tech demos.
Ball completely in your court Nintendo. Gotta win back some gamers. The benefit of the doubt is not necessarily there anymore. Gotta compel us. Mesmerizing with hardware specs and nice controllers. Then bring it home with content. The first thing gamers will judge is the direction itself. Will Nintendo follow it's weaker hardware format again relying on gimmick? That's the important question.
