I don't think that's the case at all...In 10 years, before the servers go down, I bet Blizzard will just release a patch allowing the game to be played offline. Simple as that.
Kingdom Hearts, anyone?
I love the game, and I'm one of the people who waited 12 years. Too bad some people didn't like. Despite the (serious) connection problems, the game rules. I haven't played on my PC for ages, and now I'm enjoying PC gaming again.
Great article. Although I like trophies/achievements (to a degree), the text sums up my feelings exactly.
I love both. But Diablo first, since I don't have Max Payne yet.
I played all inFamous games and loved them. I just finished Prototype this week (the first one. I know...my backlog is huge) and, although I liked it, it seemed a little rough around the edges. Things tend to get too chaotic, you can't be a good guy because it's impossible not to kill hundreds of civilians all the time, a few missions are very frustrating, and the story is a mess.
inFamous, IMHO, seems much more polished in every aspect. Having said that, I'll st...
...and my axe!
It needs to be announced.
HHehehe....sorry about that. I'm not a native english speaker.
This console war is so stupid...both devices are very cool, each with its own strengths. I just bought a Vita, and it's severely awesome. I still don't own a 3DS because of that stupid circle pad frankenstein monster. I am just waiting for the inevitable announcement of the new 3DS with the circle pad already included and I will buy that also.
As for smartphones and iPads, I have both, and gaming on them, while still cool, can't compare with real controls.
That's what they should have done with Zelda, not some live concert.
It's a pretty good list, but I think inFamous and Mass Effect should be there.
They're STILL not as emotionally powerful as movies. That doesn't mean they'll never be.
Journey, Heavy Rain and a few others show that games are evolving in this aspect.
I have a new favorite PSN game now. This beats Flower, Stacking and my other former favorites. It was the first time I got choked up during a game. The ending affected me so much I couldn't sleep very well.
I really think Roger Ebert should play this one and STFU.
So, it will be cassettes, huh? I'm ready for the past!
Well, at least articles like these bring peace among Sony & MS followers...people tend to unite against a common enemy.
LOL
^ This.
I kinda disagree with you...to me, ALL books, music, movies and games ARE art. But some are good art, while others are just bad art. But they're all art, I think.
@shadowmask
Sorry, but it's not. It's just 2 old IPs thrown together.
That, sir, would be awesome.
