I'd like to mention that there is a 2D God of War game called GoW: Betrayal for Symbian s60v3 devices, I used to have it on my Nokia N95. But I think that if there will ever be another mobile game, it will most likely be limited to the Playstation Suite.
It's not really the cost for new hardware that's being mentioned by Green_Thunder. It's the price for actually developing proper games that look that good.
It's still very expensive to develop a game on current gen consoles, and they're 6 years old. A current gen $60 game normally has a budget between $15-60 million. (That's Bioshock on one end and Halo 3 on the other, and there are more expensive ones)
Wow, Bioware is getting alot of hate.
I do find it dissapointing and weird that Biowares artists actually didn't design one of the main characters themselves. But then again, maybe it's a way of saying that "Tali looks however you decide in your mind and because of that we'll just use a stock photo". But let's not forget these are the same people that has a totally generic space-marine as the standard main protagonist... :-P
It's not happening, stop fueling the rumour!
Valve has their consoles, they're called PCs.
Crazy how a Finnish developer has issues with releasing in EU and not in the US. I wish the EU countries that require localization could have their own store, so they don't affect the rest of the EU like the UK and Scandinavia where people would rather just have the games in English anyway.
More like the Nintendo 64!
Ehm... all consoles are essentially personal computers....
Can't wait to get my hands on this game!
They fear releasing GTA V will affect Bioshocks sales in a negative manner, not the other way around.
They're completely different games, they shouldn't affect each others sales too much. I know I'm getting both pretty much day one as they're two of my most anticipated titles of the year.
True, but you might still be able to tell that it's been designed and modelled by someone else.
I guess I'm just a purist. ;-)
It's a nice contest, but I fear they might not fit into the game, making it look weird.
I'd much rather have them use the extra space for more audio, textures, behind the scenes videos and other Bioshock Infinite content rather then putting Bioshock 1 on the disc. I already have that game and I'm not trading it in for the price of a burger.
Too bad it's US only...
Diablo III on consoles? Yes please. I think it might even have been best on a handheld like the Playstation Vita (imagine playing Diablo everywhere with analogue character-movement and using touchscreen to pick up loot!), that would be awesome!
Give it an internal battery-pack (having to change batteries is a chore as I almost never have a new pair, it will also make it more comfortable to hold), redesign the d-pad (separate the directions), flatten the face-butttons a tiny bit more, reduce the sqeakiness of the triggers and voila. Near perfection.
Keep talking
I look forward to trying out the move support, hopefully it's very good.
Hopefully it will have a much better variety of games the tracks are based on. The first one only has tracks based on Sonic, Jet Set Radio Future, Billy Hatcher, House of the Dead, the Amigo games (can't remember the name) and Monkey Ball. It may sound like it, but it's not a lot of variety at all.
They need to bring in more current gen games to the mix.
It was linked to by the Norwegian Sony Facebook site, and the same thing was done before christmas in Denmark where it turned out to be just a social network-ish treasure-hunt-game-thingy. So don't get your hopes up.
