Rooftrellen, I'd like to remind you of some magnificient games that were put on diskettes, of all things... Like Ports of Call, back with Amiga. Still a good game, that one.
I also liked Arcanoid a bit too much, perhaps... And if I remember correctly, there was a game by name Dynamite Ducks, that had two ducks bust their way to end or something. That one was hard. Might have something to do with me being 5-6y old, though :D
Agreed with you there. But, they are games too, those minigames, like it or not. I know my girlfriend does, and that is a big thing, that. I, I'll stick to whatever proper I find, namely Zack & Wiki and the upcoming MoH:H2 as soon it gets here... SMG is also quite lovely, but that is to be expected.
I'd rather call it sidestepping, since they didn't go into the arms race that is known as "superior technology race". But, if that is their cup of tea, and they can pull off games like SMG or aforementioned Zack & Wiki with the equipment available, I do not really give a damn.
I see. There is no acknowledgement for Zack & Wiki at all. That is a good 3rd party game, is it not?
Controls, then. I distinguishingly remember an upcoming game, that is slated for Wii and PSP, and it was praised for its control scheme. Way to bash a console.
I question this writers thouroughness when it comes to reviewing his sources.
Yes? I never saw a need to own either of those games? Frets on Fire is a rather nice game even with a keyboard. But you did bring up a valid point, I actually forgot about those peripherals entirely. Still, I would like to think that only the most enthusiastic players got Guncon anyway...
Say this to all those nutjobs kids on live. Sheesh.
Now that's a ripoff for a controller that is made only one game in the mind.
PS2 also acted as a somewhat cheap multimedia center, since it could play cds and dvds as well... not only play games. And it was dirt cheap compared to its abilities back then.
PS3.. It may be a gaming console, but majority of people don't even own a HDTV yet, so... what's the point? They could just as well opt-in for goode ole dvd-player for their enjoyment. Not all of us are too much into HD, not until technology gets significantly cheaper.
I think this was posted earlier already.
*cough*SMG*coughcough*MP3:C*co ughcoughcough*Super Paper Mario*Coughcoughcough*Excite Truck*coughcough* and many more...
Have fun with your more than a bit narrow way of view. No more heroes anyone? Bah, sense is not something that can be taught...
Maybe, just maybe, you should go with those nice men dressed in white into that car that takes you to happy place...
I must say, you truly are an unrelenting hater. Congratulations. You always remind me how screwed a human sometimes can be.
I myself like to think it's more authentic to play with a controller on hand than on keyboard.. but that's just me.
Also, isn't it kind of illegal to have roms for emulators, if you don't own the original game as a cartridge? I'm very, VERY doubtful everyone who plays roms has every game they play.
Could it be the strategy game I've been waiting for?
Do you pay for your living yourself? $250 isn't pocket money by any standards; that's half of my monthly rent. I'll have you try university in a nordic country, where everything else is helluva expensive, without parents supporting you. You'd hate it.
Their opinion, then. Others have found the controls to be verryy good. Yes. Very much so.
But can you call it a review if it hasn't been done objectively? Hardly. Reviewers should be able to start reviewing process from an empty table, and build it from there on.
oh, oh, lemme guess? Because that comic is vulgar. It really doesn't convey anything else that sexism and chauvinism in the industry that is quite male dominated anyway.
Wasn't Dreamcast kind "TEH GAMING MACHINE" of that generation? It sure as hell was better than N64 graphically and way better than PS storage-wise..
Why do graphics define "next gen"(I hate that buzzword) gaming? Is there any particular reason why it has to be graphically doubled or tripled compared to previous generation? You had just as much fun with "Last gen" graphics as you have with those that are the current gen. Or did you have fun?
But really, a game can be good without clinging to the graphics. Those who really, REALLY support graphics, go and check Zak MacKraken, Day of the Tentacle, Maniac Ma...
But really funny thing here is, that this game was sold out on a local retailer, and they said they wouldn't get any games prior to christmas. Must suck to be them. Other game retailers had only few in stock, even though the game's 59.95€ here... Gamestop had many, but that's because they ask 65€ for it. Ridiculous prices around here anyway.
