If you want an example of good atmosphere as well as retro type difficulty, check out demon's souls.
It is more scary than half the survival horror games as it really is so easy to die, that and some of the creatures in that game are disgusting! It instils fear in the gamer because you know if you die, you may lose about 15 minutes of gameplay for your failure and have to start over again with the aim of getting back to where you died so you can get your souls back.
I hope it's a new character you go and it'd be cool if you ran into both the warden and the champion and they were like the top dogs of either faction now and you had to choose who to side with and who you'll fight for in the end and it loads in what your characters looked like from origins and dragon age 2.
That would be a cool storyline!!
I would probably say that the warden would end up on the templar side and the champion would be on the mages...

@Septic, why is quickscoping not a good thing?
The only people who don't like quickscoping are those who aren't skilled enough to do it. Sure, you'll get killed quickly by quickscopers, but it's really really hard. All the quick scopers have really really bad kill/death ratios.
Your logic (or lack of) is if you can't beat em, complain about their methods.
