Here we are almost 6 years later and it's doing FINE. It's not winning any sales records, but it's hardly a flop.
No off the shelf Hardware? You realize that almost no parts in ANY console can be bought off the shelf right? They're all custom designed. They may have the same chipset, but you can't buy any Xbox, PS3, or Wii parts "off the shelf".
Or a PC or Xbox if either of those systems had a team of devs as dedicated and talented as Naughty Dog...

The PS3 isn't the only capable...far from it. It's just most developers don't put the time and effort into it like ND does. The credit isn't due to the PS3...it's due to the talent at Naughty Dog.

Streaming? No...Downloading, sure...but not streaming. It's not like watching a movie. There's input lag to deal with and the hardware necessary to stream games if that was the only way to play would be INSANE.
Physical Media is dying, but downloading is what is taking over in gaming, not streaming.
And even if they did stream...they're not going to use OnLive..they're going to make their own service...
I don't understand these articles...there's no fucking way that Sony or Microsoft or Nintendo are going to let OnLive into their next consoles...
