Games. Consoles. All great. All worth the money. Why hate? Just play.

I always say: Let's wait and see.
Always.
Let's just wait and see if the PS5 and Series X SSD's really do more than boost loading times. Let's see what really happens with that idea.
It will be great if those boosts come to fruition. But until we SEE and get REAL examples of exactly WHAT AND HOW AND WHY the SSD helped accomplish it, it's still kind of a wash.

I'd like to wait and see what happens.
As an XBOX fan wh...

250 million is a lot of money.
It's definitely Enough for positive words to be said that are essentially FREE otherwise. Sony did something similar to make BluRay take off instead of HD DVD. People have different views and opinions on what they would and wouldn't do and if it is or isn't kinda misleading. I suppose that's just the way it is.

Epic does and WILL make bank. They have the best engine bar none. The PS5 Demo was proof on Nanite's technological advancements more than the PS5's in my opinion.
That is the only issue I feel with this, is that the goal was to make it seem like the PS5 is the only thing capable of doing so. Otherwise, it's business and all companies do things to make themselves look good or to create hype or make partnerships. That's not an issue. What is an issue is WHAT was being ...

I'm not saying he lied. I do think it's misleading to make it seem like only the PS5 could do that Demo tho. Which is the vibe that totally came across. I highly doubt the Series X would struggle with that Demo either. I think it's more about Nanite, than it is about Sony's specific SSD. I think the fact that both console have an SSD is great, but Nanite should be able to do that with any SSD. Software these days can do crazy thing, Clearly.
Like MS's software ca...

Of course epic could raise 250 million some other way. And they do, all the time. The question is, if 250 mil really is such a small amount like some fools say, then what could Sony really be helping them with by giving it to them? The fact is, it's NOT a small amount of money.
Destiny 2 and Halo Infinite had/have a 500 million + dollar budget. That's huge. 250 Million was paid for the kind praise for PS5 and maybe as a financial Vote of Confidence and Support for Epic's ...

Yeah that was a nifty little announcement.
I'm okay with Alpha, beta, or Concept demos that will differ from the final product and will be glitchy or need more polish. I like that I'll at least get to play something brand new and get a feel for new games without spending and money at all.
I remember PC demos were my fave as a kid. I'd download PC demos for just about anything under the sun since they were free. Got to sample lots of good things back in the early...

I'd rather spend the 10 bucks on a sub like Gamepass or even PSnow, that gives me access to hundreds of games.
Hell, even EA Access is a better investment to use the 10 extra bucks on than getting the exact same games the devs would have made, but charged you 10 more dollars for.

They aren't the ones talking power every day tho. These are just people and websites articles, half the time just to generate clicks by talking about old news. We know it's powerful.
We also know that games are the whole reason people buy a game console. Not just power alone.
If a console can offer both then great. That's the only issue with a site like this, it kind of takes all the articles people can find from the web and brings it all into one place. Lots of ...

I think some of that seperate coding is going to be simpler on these consoles. If MS's BC on xbox one X is any in indication, they will gladly try to go for optimization or improvements by either digging into the actual code or developing smart software solutions (velocity perhaps) to enable the games to run better than they ever did before. And supposedly with HDR and Raytracing as a goal too.
I'm excited to see what the PS5 and Series X will be able to do to older games. ...

Nobody thinks BC is better than New IP's. MS doesn't think that either. They have spent Billions getting 1st party studios ready for this specific moment. It's all coming together slowly but surely. Having a fully fleshed out and proper BC method is better than not having it tho I assure you that. Having the option will never be a bad thing.

Because somehow sales automatically must mean it's Good.
Some people buy a game and hate it or never beat it tho. I guess sales are a good way to celebrate good news for the company, so there is that.

Don't forget Halo: MCC had articles about it as well

Same. Although We'll get info soon,
I think They are keeping tight lipped for a reason.
I also think it's Better to show the game in it's true form than have 5 articles talking about "what they want to do or hope to do" with the game.
I just wanna know the date of the Xbox Presentation already though.

If nobody works for free, then teams won't just polish PS5 versions even further for free either... if they already have it complete then they'll call it complete.
@Brett
Even tho PS5 will be the market leader, (obviously) that doesn't mean devs will just not give a crap about optimizing for series S/X, and it doesn't mean there will be a lead platform or and it doesn't mean there will be much porting done at all really.
Look at the Xbox One X ve...

Load times being faster is nice.
Having them slower for an older system does not necessarily mean the new version gets held back.
Unless a game is directly using that SSD speed in the first place, then that wouldn't even be an issue.
I could see if a game was going to NEED an SSD to be able to put data through the pipeline efficiently then yes, an older system without an SSD could impact that decision to Use the SSD tech or not.
But that is one specif...

More resources? You mean time? OH NO! Not time!/s
Now He did say it used to be tricky but that was cuz MS hadn't finalized what the lockhart's spec would be. Once they got an actual Lockheart dev kit it became much easier.
And it's not holding back game development at all really, He said they Design for Anaconda 1st, then tweak and optimize for Lockheart after.
Sounds pretty straightforward. It's not some major dilemma.
He also says he dis...

From a real perspective you mean. Not a 3rd party exclusive opinion.
I feel these words are the most 'real' I've seen about cross gen and next gen so far.

They have already been toxic for a long time.
What I'm really not excited for is the advantages or pros/cons of either new console to be minimized or maximized to dilute the truth.
