So you've basically had to "suffer" through 2 firmware updates which make the console better and you're tired of them? You're easily annoyed I guess.
If you've had to patch games then you are free to go complain to the developers of those games.

Koller, in the same interview stressed that the games shown at CES running in 3D were only demo's and nothing more than that at this point.
Your comment implies GT5 will be 3D compatible at launch, which it likely won't be. I'd be 99% sure of that but you know I wouldn't mind at all if I was wrong in saying that.
It was more than a suggestion, there was a PS Blog video with Jeff rubenstein talking with John Koller (think it was John Koller) and he said that there would be 2 FW updates in 2010, one to enable 3D gaming and the other for 3D movies.
As to when those updates are coming is yet to be revealed.
There's plenty of Blu-Ray players out there now that are cheaper than a PS3.
Windows 7 is actually very very good. A huge improvement over Vista imo, an OS which I hated.
It's gotta be just a misquote as the only way the Xbox (or PS3 and probably the Wii for that matter) sold 10m units anywhere this year was on a world wide scale.
I think people are probably making a bigger deal of this than needs to be made.

I assume you can provide evidence of this instead of just assumption based off an ambiguous statement by someone at Microsoft.

MAG will probably appeal to some people enough to make them buy a PS3 but it isn't going to be anything noticeable like FF13 in Japan, GT5 in Europe or even GTA games in the PS2 era did.
It'll sell some consoles, just not anything that will abnormally inflate sales figures like the games above will/would.
Their biggest fail was the PS3's launch price, the lack of games early on, the poor marketing early on and some of Sony's arrogance.
Thankfully all those things aren't an issue anymore.

If the full game goes above and beyond the demo (and I have no doubt that it will) then no, God of War will not fail to live up to the hype.
How many PS3 games have been hyped and failed to deliver? The biggest one was Killzone 2, it blew people away. Uncharted 2 blew people away, MGS4 blew people away.
Of course it's had it's games that failed to live up to the hype but every platform suffers this and it should be noted those games were new and unproven IP's.
Well this is true, the majority of things are preference based. Although personally I have no problem shifting through the XMB or the 360 Dashboard. I find both to be very easy tbh, if anything I'm just a little more familiar with the XMB.
He did say the XMB wasn't bad though, so I suspect it's just him getting used to something new which isn't really a bad thing. Like when I drive someone else's car...good car just hard to get used to because of things like a different clutch or...
The man is impressed by the games which he should be, trophies/achievements are personal preference although both are ultimately the same thing with the difference of one providing an arbitrary number and the other one contributes to a level like it's an RPG.

I like that it's slightly superior to the US version. About time SCEE gave us some love with special editions for major games...we got an Uncharted 2 CE too.
