@Shnazzyone
Nobody said that Nintendo did not create a "AAA" title, lol. All I'm saying is that the franchise is becoming stale and needs to evolve. Also, I said "not long after they get released". Give it a month or two and I bet you'll barely hear people talking about it outside of forums dedicated to the game.
Honestly, I haven't heard anybody mention Skyward Sword a few days after it launched. Skyrim discussions have been...
Hopefully it's good. I enjoy SSB games and if this is any good with enough characters....it will kick some serious ass!
They could have offered a Classic controller layout for people who aren't fans of motion controls.
@Shnazzyone and pctrollv5
I think you guys are taking what I said a bit too literally. Zelda games are hyped, but about a month after release, nobody ever mentions them again. No Zelda game as of late has brought anything to the table that's new and exciting. After OoT, they all practically have the same mechanics minus the one exclusive feature each game has as mentioned in my previous post.
Why is this? Because the Zelda series (unlike most of Nintendo...
You're right. Zelda is fine as it is now, but it's getting a bit stale. Nothing has really changed besides graphics and a few tweaks here and there aside from the one major mechanic introduced in each game (time travel, sailing, transforming into a wolf, dropping from the sky, etc).
This is the reason Zelda games are hyped, but forgotten not long after they get released.
Look at what Sony is doing with the Vita. It's the first step towards massive digital distribution for consoles. Every game will be up on PSN for grabs the same day games launch. Hopefully the next Playstation and Xbox will follow suit by at least putting up AAA titles for download the day they are released in retail.
If you knew what you were talking about you would know that the teams working on XIV and Versus XIII are entirely different. Canceling XIV wouldn't speed up Versus XIIIs development.
Did it take a lawsuit for PS3 owners to get the game or was there some other issue holding EA back from keeping their promise?
It was. Than another company bought it, tried to fix all that was wrong with it, renamed it APB: Reloaded, and re-launched it.
Playing good games
Because SE puts the DQ series on the most succesful console in the current gen. PS1 was the best selling console at the time, so it got DW7. PS2 was the best in that gen, so it got DQ8. The DS was the best selling thing this gen so it got DQ9. Wii is the best selling console this gen so it's getting DQ10 and it's going to Wii U since the Wii U is coming out soon.
It will definitely be Dragon Warriors VII. Dragon Warriors 1, 2, and 3 are on the Wii via compilation disc. Dragon Quest 4, 5, 6, and 9 are on the DS and 10 is being released for the Wii and Wii U. It's only logical that DW7 gets a 3DS release and probably followed by 8 after 10 is released.
Plus I doubt they would release Final Fantasy VII before milking V and VI remakes.
@fluffydelusions
Don't forget that Final Fantasy VII and VIII were on PC as well. Sony probably helped publish it on the PS1.
$249.99 would be fine, but we're also being forced to buy memory cards to save our games......so we're really paying at least $279.99
FFVII is very unlikely. It would go to Vita before it goes to the 3DS and the Dragon Quest series seems to be Nintendo exclusive for now. That and VII is next on the remake list for DQ games.
Dragon Warriors VII
Good and it looks like the text will be high res for this port, which is awesome.
@cpayne93
Same way games like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest do it. It can revolve around the same mechanics, same gameplay (enhanced, of course), same fundamental idea, but totally new characters, new locations, new world, set in the future, new thread, etc. It can be a fresh start for the series and the start of something completely new.
In doing so, players don't have to have played past MGS games and newcomers won't feel like they're missing o...
Except that MGS5 could begin a new story arc years into the future where the story doesn't revolve around Snake. It doesn't have to be a continuation of the current story or even take place in the same universe.
I could imagine. While we wait, just remake V and VI :P
