@Mac is OK
I remember reading that the only reason V and VI didn't get a remake for the DS or PSP was because they were having problems with the battle system. Not sure what that meant. My guess is that they've been working on it for a while and shelved it after they encountered some sort of bug or issue so they could concentrate on other projects. I guess now with the 25th anniversary, they have a reason to get back to them.
Sold out ;_;
I agree. FFX is only being released because of all the PS2 re-releases and SE seems to want to do something over the top. SE also seems to be in the process of remaking all of the main entry FF games. I hope they're going to announce remakes of V and VI.....honestly, i don't care for which system, I just want to get my hands on a FFVI remake.
Maybe this is why FF is failing? SE doesn't think feedback is all too important so they either don't do it at all or do it locally till the nasty stuff hits the fan.
I just hope they don't develop the Witcher 3 with the 360 version primarily in mind. They would probably dumb it down.
OMG YESSSSSSSSSSS
I hope this is true.....
Too bad Gameloft has zero creativity.
I wouldn't be surprised. SE are too arrogant and rarely, if ever, listen to their fans with the exception of rebuilding FFXIV because they know they have to.
Not a problem. As long as it goes to Steam, idc.
XIII>>> VIII
I think in order for SE to turn FF around they'll have to release a new entry in the series (XV) and market it properly. Plus, build it the way the fans want it and turn it into the series fans once fell in love with.
mini games
chocobo mini games
big world
controllable airships
memorable characters
job system or something similar
epic story
epic villain
I'm sure that includes the account of people who no longer use their PS3 as well, lololol.
In terms of sales? No. The Japanese refuse to evolve and listen to their fans. It seems like for the most part, Japanese developers ignore their fans till the poop hits the fan.
Except that JRPG games don't sell nearly as well as everything else.
I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they renamed Versus XIII into XV and say something like "It was too ambitious (expensive) of a project to not be a part of the main franchise"
Doesn't make sense to me. Anywho, Bastion is an awesome game. Glad it reached 500k downloads!
Love it! I'm no Star Wars fan, but this game is very addicting and fun.
Can you prove that?
Huh? So we're getting more than just FFX in HD? It's been about 6 months since it was announced and if it's still "early" in development, it seems like we're getting more than just FFX in HD. Perhaps some redone character models? Better textures? Extra boss fights? Anyway, FFX is one of my favorite games. I'm looking forward to it regardless.
I think it all depends on the game. Games like Pokemon, Megaman, Mario, fighting games, etc can get away with good gameplay and bad or even horrible stories. Then you have games that rely on a good story to keep the player wanting to find out what happens next....like most RPG games, for instance. Hell, I can't even finish action games unless I'm interested in the story.
