That's exactly what I'm hoping. How the game turns out will either validate everyone's faith in BioWare as a leading rpg maker just as they've always been, or confirm our fears the they've succumbed to being EA-ized and lost what made them great.
Wait, I thought Todd Howard said there WEREN'T a finite amount of dragons.
Anyway, I cannot wait for this. I've been playing Oblivion again in anticipation and have been suprised how many times they actually mention Skyrim. I agree that flame wars are annoying, but there's nothing wrong with being excited for this game. Elder Scrolls games are as epic as rpgs get.
How about Google L.A. Noire Maps? That's gotta be enough info to make it possible.
Wow that's pretty cool for a hacking minigame.
I'm concerned about that as well. But they've said there's about 2 seasons of tv content in the game and there'll be lots of dlc, and there comes a point when there's enough well crafted story content to satisfy rather than being able to run around and shoot things in endless ways. Hopefully they succeed in reaching that point.
Looking good. I hope they pull it off and the game is well received critically. That could lead to more developers taking similar chances with new styles of gameplay that have been underused or even nonexistent. Bravo R*.
Yep. Same here.
Same here. Official GOML. I'm hoping they announce collector's editions details and pre-order bonuses soon.
But it's still down. And only now am I starting to contemplate venturing out into the sun and/or killing myself.
I would like to add to the list the cannibals that lived in Pilgrim's Rest in the game Jade Empire. They were spawned by a giant, evil monster called... wait for it... Mother. Mother was so powerful and evil she (it?) corrupted the forest and weakened the Fox Spirit, the Guardian of the forest who needed you to defeat her and heal the forest. Or not. God, I loved that game.
Ha. Nice.
I tried about 20 times on my PS3 copy but I never got past the 15 hour mark before the game irreparably crashed and I had to start over, so I never beat it. I could barely even start it. Never buying a Obsidian game again.
I got the $45 buy.com deal and I'm happy with it. It'd rather pay less now, and no shipping to boot, and not have to worry about making sure my next videogame purchase is at amazon in order to take advantage of a credit. On the other hand, it's still a decent deal if you missed the buy.com deal.
Good to know. Thanks.
The visual style reminds me of Bioshock and the opening of Fallout 3.
I love my A40 7.1 / 5.8ghz wireless mixamp set like crazy! Worth every penny. My experience with Skull Candy earbuds is that they're cheap and work for about month. If this is true I feel bad that such a quality brand like Astro is about to turn into crap. Glad I got my headset already.
@ Blues Cowboy: I totally agree. I'm also concerned they've been taking the rp out of their g lately and that DAII was disappointing and felt rushed. However I also agree with LiquidSnack and Lindey that 1. the article said nothing about the delay, and that 2. the author took one quote and jumped the gun, going on a rant based off of 1 comment.
Here's hoping ME3's delay is because they're perfecting the game for us and not just tacking on a last minute mul...
Same here. It worked great and free shipping. :)
Got it! Nice. I was going to wait for the reviews to come out but at that price and, given R*'s track record, I went for it. Please be a great game.
It does look great. Let's hope they pull it off.
