Not unless it's crossplay along with PC, which as confirmed today it might not only be FFXIV, might even be DC universe.
No Sony gets nothing long term. This is outrightly bought out by Columbus Nova, soon going to change the name from SOE to Daybreak Game Company and games WILL be on Xbox One also. Just swallow it whole buddy, no point in muddling anything. It is what it is unfortunately.
But to some here this isn't surprising it's all in the fillings and on top of that Sony not releasing it's financials on time is a huge sign to the market that it's not doing so good.

Can we stop asking these predictable questions, and ask more about Dx12's features sets and how they effect game development? Christ! who cares about resolutions, I want to read the potential of the "Paradig Shift" those features sets will have on games. Especailly Volume Tiled Resources and many others.
Go back into SDK leaks, then you know what some here have been excited for. XOne is running on a gimped API, and why you have seen so many updates on a API all within a year?! ...whoa!
Why would Microsoft spend so much resources in updating an API of all things? Ansswer, simply to mimic the Dx12 "features sets" and Feature Level 12_0 of all! Siphoning through the SDK leak it assumes that Dx12 utilizes XOne's hardware to fully implement it's "innovative&...
Dx12 will allow XOne's hardware to fully implement it's innovative features sets that are currently demos in Dx11.x. Only users that benefit are Microsoft's first-party studios or any developers that likes to implement it. It'a a risk though. It's all in the SDK leak. It's sad the you haven't realized that some here already notice you for your fanboyism. Yet you still go out your way to prove something so useless. You don't own an XOne nor are you planning to. ...

Nor investor confidence, where are they at market value today, around 3.5billion! ....lol! Nintendo has a larger market value.
But yes, they just can't compete at the level Microsoft is at with it's R&D. They'll probably attempt it in some game, but doubt we'll see anything worth gawking over. ;D
I think that'll be the theme of this whole gen with Microsoft taking a huge lead in further developing cloud computing where Sony ...
His words in terms of hardware. Of course it won't change anything because consoles are outdated the day it's launched. But it's a huge benefit of developers and art directors specifically especially for Microsoft's first party games. Doubt we'll see major publishers take advatage of the Dx12 features sets, but I wouldn't be surprised or won't care when XOne first party games look and play amazing.
On top of this is the idea that some of "us&q...
Remember the question to developers and Phil were hardware specific, and they said no which makes sense because you can't boost hardware performance. But what "gamers" fail to realize is that Dx12 effect on XOne is software software specific with it's features sets and development tools.
So perfoamnce boost, no! But we will see some pretty cool stuff in games developmed specifiaclly for Dx12. No doubt Gears will be the first true Dx12 devloped game, or Crac...

Point out clearly where I denied PS4 or XOne and it's cores?! Exactly, creating your own self-deluded arguments.
Nothing is "secret sauce" apparently that is true, because the leak has proven at least most of that secret sauce is true. Of course developers use multiple cores, but NONE as stated in the article is being used "simultaneously", becuase it's still Dx11. Keyword simultaneously.
Nothing hardware wise ...
@GameFame
Did you not read the article in where he emphasizes it's not just about coding to the metal, or did you skip the article and went straight to commenting?? All of those Phil Spencre response you post are very specific to questions asked. Will it improve hardware? ...No!
Now that is taken into consideration, Brad Wardell's points has nothing to do with improving hardware. He is not speaking of some hocus pocus technology that will boost hardwa...
All heil Sony! Yoshida is GOD!
It's coming no doubt. This whole time it was only a preview and only first-party games fully implemented. Doubt we'll see major publsihers use it but for sure first-party studios. Cool things coming 2015.
Some have always stated these facts since launch doing their own due dilligence. But for some reason N4G couldn't tolerate is or they were just out bubbled?! Yeha mmore likely the latter. If anything this further confirms Sony forced Microsoft's hand and this whole while they been playing catch up?? Xbox One launches E3 2015! It was hobbling out the gate with a gimped API obviously and why so many had issues. Sony played real good and I applaud them for that. But Microsoft is too big ...
Such a useful comment, great point.

It's a shame you wouldn't compliment the developers moreso than a hardware. Current-gen hardware isn't even eye popping when looking at it compared to most high-end hardware, since it has more to do with developers than hardware especially in consoles. Shame fanboys these days. *tsk,tsk*
Come back when you stop staring at your screen and actually enjoy games. You still on with the 1080p argument?! ...still grapsing his last straw, lol! xDDD
@GameFameName
Article had nothing to do with Dx12. Come back when we can see the super advanced difference between either console then probably many who aren't a Sony worshipper will give you bubbles.
Dx12 will see a huge difference in terms of first party studios using the development tools in it.
If anyone here, you most of all will be truly surprised in how much a difference games fully rendered and designed under Dx12 will be. At le...

That's the problem you're seeing it in terms of the question asked to Phil whether it was going to be a hardware booster, and clearly shot it down which wasn't a surprise to me because hardware are outdated the day it's launched. The point is software is a huge deal especiall an API application, there is no way you can doubt that. So don't filter me into the typical fanboy argument in claiming that Dx12 is going to get us to 4k resolutions.
Lest you're doing anything illegal then don't bother even typing on your keyboard or hold any device. Other than that, no worries buddy. ;D
@fr0sty
Yeah, you would know that it would be minimal if nothing, at least that's what you hope for. It's obvious.
@GameNameFame
We all know your intentions here, and it's nothing good. If there are fans of a technology that are willing to speculate, let it be. As long as it doesn't fill over to fanboy sentiments.
So, it's already a known fact that Dx12 IS going to be a big deal. Now whill it be for all st...
Yes, with Microsoft being part of the development I have a feeling this Tomb Raider is going to be Epic. From here on out I think any studios working exclusively with Microsoft are going to make some very cool games. Can't wait! ;D
