""I don't get RPGs. Especially turn based. I have no idea how people find them fun. Freedom Wars isn't turn based and the combat looks amazing, but if you don't play RPGs it is probably very confusing. I also don't care about stories in video games so that makes RPGs even more boring for me. I stick to platformers, arcade games, FPS and third person shooters generally. I like twitch based gameplay because I am good at them. CoD Ghosts probably sucked but when you hav...
Then you might be on to something with that "low RPG IQ" thing. ;P joking of course. Seems RPGs just aren't for you and that's ok. P4G is one of the best games I've ever played and i am in love with Freedom Wars, but someone, for example, who only really plays first person shooters they might find it boring and confusing too. You have to take your time with RPGs, read or listen to the story, learn the battle system and how to navigate through the world, find your groove,...
Unless Vita sales pick up in the west, expect this on most of the Japanese games that will be localized. A much as i love Freedom Wars, if there were 10 million Vitas sold in the west, i guarantee there would have been an English dub for it. But hell, we're lucky to even be getting Tales on the Vita. Originally the Dev didn't even want to bring it over here and stated it in an interview. So takes what youz can gets. :P
So Need for Speed, Wipeout, Sonic All star, and F1 aren't good? I don't even like racing games and i thought Need for Speed on the Vita was good. Plus you have 2 WRC Rally games and 2 Moto GP games on Vita which also have been well received.
With Borderlands, it's a little less so. It actually feels like references rather than just pure pandering. and most of the stuff was hidden, here it seems that its everywhere. Hell, every respawn is a pop culture reference of some kind.
The choice is to not buy the game if it bothers you that much. Plus, it's up to the developer to make "always on" games or not, not the console manufactures.
Everyone can stop flipping their tables and place them right side up again. PSN seems to be in working order.
That's essentially what's bothering me about the game. It's so "in your face" about everything. Hey, remember Portal, than look at this reference we have of it. Hey remember Bill and Ted... and so on.
They should change the name of the game to Sunset Pandering. Game does look fun though.
You know? You are not the first person I've seen in these Sunset Overdrive reviews where their comment sounds like an advertisement. "a smart choice this holiday" Come on man, come on.. lol
I know. :( ...i can't even counter your comment. You are absolutely right. I would love nothing more than this to sell like 500,000 copies in the west with the marketing it currently has and Sony taking notice. Just being optimistic(\naive). lol
I see myself Platinum-ing this. Doesn't look too outrageous.
I cannot wait for this game. It's one of my most anticipated this year. So excited. I really hope it does well, sales wise.
I'm more offended on how gratuitous the premise is. It's so fucking on the nose. There better be one hell of a twist to make this whole story worth it or else there is no real point to this game other than to make headlines. What the main character is doing is unquestionable, straight up evil, and i say that based solely on the trailer with no context to whats going on in other parts of the story. Is he crazy? Does he think that people ARE demons and needs to kill them. If it IS only ...
You forgot to add "I my opinion" in your comment. Just because you think the game is a 6 at best, doesn't mean it will be.
Is a Vita version confirmed at all? I know there was speculation but never found out more about it.
Reading some of these comments gives me hope that not all gamers are whiny , entitled, hipster losers that think everything sucks and is overrated because someone told them it was . If you get into the Hype and get disappointed by a game it's your own damn fault. Also when the hell did prompting a game become "hype". Companies can't promote their games without someone calling it hype and saying it was over hyped by the time it comes out. Hype is generated by the audience tha...
yes it does..It's a great game tho
Evil Within, Freedom Wars and Wolf Among Us on the Vita for sure. Will keep an eye on Lords of the Fallen.
That is essentially were i am in the game. It's a blast. I'm still trying to find the most efficient way to fight smaller enemies using melee. It's the only thing im having trouble getting down combat wise.
