I'm someone who didn't even get close to finishing Demon's souls due to the unforgiving difficulty but I have to say, this does sound like a bad idea to me.
Most of the fun of Demon's souls for me was the fact that dying sent you right back to the start of the level. I'm glad each level had shortcuts you could open up but the best times I had in the game were the feeling I'd get when I'd been playing for about forty five minutes without dying or op...
The little first person cutscene parts in the first game were some of my favourite moments of any game. The part in the church especially... y'know the bit.... dril drill drill, ouch ouch ouch.

I can't do it, even with the recommendation of the great and powerful Sessler I can't be bothered to give Bulletstorm a chance. Everything I've seen of it and everything I played in the demo still has me convinced it's originality and creativity are wafer thin and gimmicky.
This about the score I'd give it. I quite liked the first half of it but it dragged a lot towards the end and overall just felt... like a game, y'know, nothing majorly wrong with it but impossible to get excited about.

I hope this includes some real brain teaser puzzles. This game had a beautiful art style and setting but every single one of the puzzles seemed to consist of walking around until you see a doll with the ability you need then stacking into it, nothing more. I'd like to see some real mind benders with multiple dolls and multiple parts.
I have to agree that I'm more hyped for all of those other games he mentioned even though I think the graphics, gameplay and even setting (as in, the city) of this game look great.
I think I'm just burned out on regular games, I'm so sick of the cheeseball gravel voiced heroes/anti heroes we're supposed to get behind in every game. I'm sick of games based around stories and characters designed to make 15 year old emo kids go, 'whoa dude, epic'.

Damn, what a shitty shitty collection. Four games, one of them a rhythm action game and the other virtual bass fishing?? The sonic game is great and I understand Crazy taxi is well loved even though I always hated it back in the day but there are so many better games they could have chosen for the other two.
Looks great graphically and everything but to be honest, the more I'm seeing of this game the duller it looks to me.
If it's similar in scale and style to the previous game but with those graphics that's just insane. The only thing that worried me, did they sort of hint you wouldn't be able to choose your own character? I hate when RPGs do that.
The world of warcraft film?? Unless this is like a King of Kong type thing it's a very bad idea.
I can't believe they disabled the ability to modify your appearance in the demo. I don't even get why they'd do that. I can't get into it as some beardy hipster douchebag, I need to build a character I don't want to punch in the face in order to properly get into an rpg. It seems like an alright game but character creation is what an rpg rests on, disabling it for the demo is one step above disabling all dialogue options.
Great concept or the greatest concept??
Obviously it's got a ton of charm and a beautiful setting but I have to agree with something hinted at in this review. If you're not interested in finding every single way to solve each problem the game is not only short but not really at all challenging. You'll never really find yourself stuck on any puzzle.
So ... Singularity, Halo ODLC, Lost planet and Transformers are better than Half life 2??
