I never played this game but really want to. I love the art style, it reminds me of Flashback/Fade to black. I hope it comes out for the PS3 at some point in the near future.

Well it is just a bit of fun, I don't think it's supposed to be a replacement for the real game. Still, I agree with your assessment of Mirror's edge. I played it through about 3 times and I don't think I ever once shot somebody, it just didn't feel right in the context of the game.

I'm pretty sick of shooters at the moment but I'll probably get this. I enjoyed the multiplayer demo even though I'm not really a multiplayer gamer. The suit powers are as cool as I'd hoped they'd be. The predator style heat vision and the heightened jumping/climbing especially.
You should see me on the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo. Run for five seconds, get shot, die. Run for five seconds, get shot, die. I used to get angry about this stuff but I've come to terms with the fact that I suck and now just find it amusing, although I do still feel self conscious like everyone else on my team must hate me for letting the side down so I tend to stay away from competitive multiplayer these days.
I think the point they're making is that it's almost impossible for a woman to get a game made at a big company which I can understand. It's still a medium supported by mostly male consumers. I like to think of myself as a pretty understanding guy but even I don't like to play as a female character in a game since games are a sort of exercise in fantasy and none of my fantasies involve not having a penis.
I can understand people's point about this being a little exclusionary but you have to remember that men and women are driven by quite different impulses.

The only negative thing about playing this game for me is that since I've been trying to create my own level I get really jealous of how damn good other people's levels are. There are some insanely talented people out there, it makes me feel bad.
I get halfway through making a level then take a break to play some levels online which usually leads to me deleting my half made level and curling up into a ball on the floor weeping.

It's weird how that happens, I mean I'm sure Chiaki Kuriyama just contacted them because she wanted to play the game and have her reactions recorded for her future enjoyment but by sheer coincidence it actually became quite beneficial to the marketing of the game.
I brought it up a while back as a joke but when I really thought about it more I think a God of war type epic action game based around the Old testament would be pretty damn sweet. Of course it would be met with a severe backlash from the folks who think not pretending to agree with them is persecution so I think it's safer to stick to the idea of a cel-shaded Muhammad based Bomberman clone.
Great style and setting but I lost interest quite a bit when the hack and slash gameplay started up. This would have been awesome if it was completely based around environmental puzzles and demanded thinking rather than quick reactions and combo memorizing.
The narrator's excitement is infectious. He really demonstrates the thrill of playing this game.
