Isn't this cod beta using dedicated servers and it is a beta so network issues are sure to happen?
Utter crap there's a wait time to get into the beta once you've preordered it. It won't let me join for at least an hour and a half and that's my estimated time. Yup, getting my $5 back from gamestop, what a waste.
I only preorder games that I wouldn't care if they were broken at launch. Fallout and about 3 other titles are the only ones I preorder bc the devs themselves will make it right. CDPR had issues with witcher 3 but it didn't phase me :)
400+ hours of content. There will be bugs regardless of how long you wait or how many patches they put out. Bethesda may have some of the buggiest games, but even buggy upon launch, their games are still miles ahead of the rest on release day. Preordered already and I'm not even worried. Fallout4nia!!!!
I wouldn't think it would close the gap at all. That's great xbox one has exclusives in the fall, but ps4 has gotten exclusives throughout the year, which I'm glad bc holiday season to me isn't the time for exclusives. It's multiplats. Fallout 4, cod, battlefront.

@Lloyd xmas... I had 4 x360s too. That 3 yr extended warranty didn't happen until years after launch. Also, you don't maintain a 3 yr extended warranty if you bought used consoles, so it still affected gamers.
@NX your name seems pretty biased going into this article. However there are plenty of reasons to have multiple of the same console. My wife and I both have 360 on separate TVs. We play civ revolution together. We don't like spmitscreen multiplayer. So we play minecraft on both our ps4s. XBL Skull has two xbox ones and two TVs setup probably for similar reasons. Remasters are great because they offer old games with better framers or graphical fidelity. Rare replay is great bc it gives those today a taste of what gaming meant to us who started then. However this BC thing to me just isnt worth it. It's cool on the surface, but if anyone asked me to play gears 1 or 2 today or any x360 title I own I'd say no thanks. I prefer remasters to BC. Idk, BC is great for those who want it, but I just will never utilize it on any console.
If this amazing game wasn't free, I would've skipped it for $20. After playing it on ps plus free launch month. I'll definitely be buying later iterations and dlc. I mean $4 dlc? That's done right!
I hope this game becomes a free game with gold on Xbox one. It would be cool to cross play against them with ps4 and pc. That'd be a match I'd love to see.

@ winter, but you can't do it in ffx/X2 hd remaster. :( it sucks, because some of the scenes you need to skip. Like the laughing scene.
It will be a gimmick this time but I feel it will be a VR centered console with nintendo characters. I'd like to play zelda and mario kart versions of vr. Or explore the social network and arcade games as a mii in a VR miiverse.

I agree for the most part. All they need is better hardware and a robust lineup and I'll be sold on it. I just never cared for the wiiU tablet feel.
I believe NX will compete, but that's only if my prediction for the NX comes through. I think the NX will have a gimmick, like all nintendo products. I hope it's a VR experience that incorporates the miiverse. Playing games as miis in VR could be gamechanging. Or a mario 64 type game in VR would be good too. I believe that's where nintendo will gain ground again, but we will see if they do.
Yeah trust MS...they bought Nokia for 7 billion and had to pretty much just eat the cost as it didn't even remotely turn a profit. They aren't made of unlimited money and if the xbox one as well as windows 10 don't turn out the numbers like they need to for revenue, then this isn't a sustainable business model and xbox one consumers will take a hit in some way. Regardless of how well it seems to be trucking along sales wise now.
