Vanilla, yes. The PC version has a decent modding community though. The new features from the Switch & XBone versions will also most likely be patched into the PS4 & PC versions at some point.

The PS3 version of Oblivion was screwed also. It would randomly CPU lock the system. You had to flip the main power switch on the back of the system (or pull the plug on newer models) to shut it down.

I never said it would be at console pricing, and afaik, neither did they. It was also scheduled for a 2022 release which is 3 years from now. So the hardware wouldn't have been high end by PC standards at the time of release. 2021 hardware, 2022 release. Still be well beyond the mid-range 2020 hardware with a low end laptop grade CPU that the PS5 will have. FYI i already have a high end self built PC.

You either did not read much into the MadBox, or you are massively overestimating the PS5. The MadBox was stated to be running native 4k @ 120fps, with hardware that would be considered similar to "a fast PC 2 years from now" (The system was scheduled for a ~2022 release). It would have been easily 50% more powerful than the PS5. Likely in the 16-18TF range. The PS5 and Nextbox will likely be around 10-12TF.

@sprinterboy:

This is not a matter of "simple math". It is the traditional scale that has been used for 25+ years. 7/10 has always been considered the average. This is actually more a matter of simple english, rather than simple math. Average means typical, not medium or half. If the vast majority of games score 7/10, that is the average. If the quality of the majority of games were to suddenly increase to where 90% of games scored a 9/10, 9/10 would be the averag...

Just bugs in general, no. If the bugs are so severe and constant that it is easy to break the game and make it unbeatable or worse, unplayable, then yes it does count.

Bloodborne is an 8.5 at best.

Traditional scale:

10 - Perfect
9 - Excellent
8 - Very good
7 - Average
6 - Below average
5 - Decent but heavily flawed.
4 - Bad, not really worth playing.
3 - Very buggy, easy to break the game, but still beatable.
2 - Extremely buggy, completely unbeatable.
1 - 100% broken. Constant crashing, major game breaking glitches that make it essentially unplayable.

Said it before. The day new consoles become digital only, is the day i stop buying new consoles. I'll just switch over completely to building up my retro gaming collection. Thousands of games from previous generations i have yet to play.

Console gamers seem to have an obsession with twisting everything that is out of the ordinary into something negative, even when logically it should be seen as a positive. This kind of in-game/MT optional unlocking has been available in PC MMOs for decades and has always been viewed favorably. Yeah the price is a little steep for something that is unlockable in-game, but it is still optional. You are not prevented from obtaining the character if you choose not to pay for it.

Stated as a member of Avalanche, so not Cid. Probably Wedge.

Must be related to some feature in the newer cards. I'm running a 750ti and have not had any issues. Pretty much constant 55-60fps maxed at 1080p. Checked NVCP out of curiosity and it is correctly set at max performance by default.

XII had a far more complex story, most people were turned off by it because of the political aspects, but it was probably the most well composed and complex story of any FF. VIIIs story was a cheesy convoluted romance, and got so wierd after the first disk, it lead to the popular theory that the entire thing was just Squall hallucinating while dying. It was probably the worst story in the franchise prior to XIII. But then 95% of people are suckers for love stories, even if they are really bad...

I think VII was my first also, yet it is not my favorite. I have never been the nostalgic type though.

In order from best to worst for me.
IX
VI
XII
IV
VII
X
V
VIII
III
X-2
XIII-2
I
LR
XIII
II

I have yet to play XV.

XII is better than VIII.

I have around 50 games just in my PS3 backlog alone. Another 20 on the 360, 15 on the PS4, 7 on XBone, over 350 on Steam, 20-30 more each on Origin, uPlay, GoG, PS2, Wii, WiiU, & GC, even a few on the SNES & N64. I keep collecting, but getting to that age where for some reason i usually cannot be bothered to actually start up a new game. Every once in a while i'll replay an old game i have already beaten (currently going back through Borderlands GOTY), but rarely start anything ne...

Originals emulated on PC. 1080p/100+ fps, AA, AF, texture smoothing, custom shaders, etc.

The PS3 was never ahead of PCs. The 8800GTX launched ~2 weeks after the PS3 and was rated at more than twice the TF. The Cell CPU was ahead of PC CPUs for a couple years after launch, but its overall graphical capabilities were around mid range, just like most console gens.

Yep, very odd world we live in now. Parents have no issues with their kids watching movies with beheadings or disembowelments, but one set of animated tits in a video game and god have mercy. People have become such prudes about basic human anatomy. They must be ashamed of themselfs for having these evil things attached to their bodies.
