They won't, games of a new console will not be supported on the previous one even if it technologically possible.
You might be able to get around that with HW/SW mods, but the vast majority of console consumers don't know or care about mods, they buy consoles for their simplicity.

Played the original version, and it's a really good game, it preserves the classic grid-based dungeon crawler while adding some modern conveniences.
There are mods and apps that gives this for free, serious Tekken players already used them for years, this is just going to give advantage to low level players who pay for this over those who don't which is absolutely scummy.
