I was expecting a Kanye reference already.
Bioshock, although having flawed mechanics, had a good story and atmosphere.
CoD4 was fun, especially on PC. Not AMAZING but great.
Mass Effect's story was also amazing. Gameplay...not so much.
Fallout 3... I didn't like so much but I know others liked it.
I would probably (not definitely, because haven't played the full game yet) put U2 with classics like FF7, Half Life, and Mario (yes I went there!).

It isn't meant for people who already own PSPs. Sony isn't discontinuing the PSP3000 or forcing developers to stop releasing games on UMD. This is only for those that prefer to not carry around their game library or who don't want to rebuy games if they lose their physical copies and generally people who do not own any UMD games and/or PSPs.

Slim just came out so hundreds of thousands (and over the next few weeks, millions) of new PS3 owners that would be potential LBP customers, plus a GOTY edition is coming out, plus it is one of the defining games of this generation, plus it is still running strong (especially the community), plus it doesn't hurt to have a demo.

Luke Plunkett is the prick extraordinaire at Kotaku. Someone said that Brian Ashcraft was bad but I don't think he is that bad. Michael McWhertor is actually quite good and I don't mind Crecente that much either, but Luke Plunkett takes the trophy when it comes to douchebaggery.
You'll be hard pressed to find Luke Plunkett's posts without a dig against Sony.

Anyway, if these are in fact close to how much the PS3 sold, then this is amazing considering it's been out for only 4 days in Japan as well as other territories. The PS3, I think, will hold these high numbers now because not only are new games (especially GOTY contenders like Uncharted 2) due out soon, but the Christmas season is approaching.

Pizza, make up your damn mind. Gameplay is extremely subjective and NOT dependent on the power of the console (more dependent on the I/O interface such as Wii's waggle). We are talking about console strengths when utilized to produce graphics, not gameplay.
The Sixth Axis is a troll site. They do a lot more Sony/PS3 bashing than most other sites that claim to talk about the PS3. They do it even more than neutral or pro-360 websites.
Nope, MJ is more widely known around the world than the Beatles or Elvis. This is mostly due to his dance routines rather than his lyrics or songs. Many people in India do not speak English and do not know who any of the Beatles are but they do know Michael Jackson because of his dance moves, for example.

Err...FF games are all different. They might as well be called different names because they're not sequels or even related to each other except for minor cameo appearances of chocobos and moogles and that's about it. Have you even played a single FF game?
Not to mention the fact that each FF game on average lasts over 40 hours. L4D does not last for a tenth of that in single player (and FF is pure single player except for XI).
What is surprising is that Famitsu said the PS3 sold 50000 yet MC says 39000.
