I looked at over 100 of those scores, 90% of them shared two traits.
They were either the first review, or they were some guy with every xbox game 10/10 and every Sony game 0/10.
It's funny because a while ago Microsoft responded to like a small group of PlayStation best Twitter replies and all the xbox fans acted like it was this OMG huge thing. But for YEARS nearly every single post from any PlayStation source the number one reply is some Microsoft...
Neither of those games was developed by a PlayStation Studio. Heck, Godfall is developed and published by Epic and Destrution AllStars was made by a handful of people with a VERY low budget. While Halo is supposedly a 6 year $500 million 750 employee project, it's supposed to be the flagship of the entire Microsoft Studios.
You're really grasping at straws trying to compare those games to Halo.
You know that PS5 games can load your save or built in checkpoints directly from the dashboard, right? And PlayStation has had quick resume since the PS4.
"Come off it mate, if the shoe was on the other foot then people would be fuming if Xbox didn’t have a showcase (myself included), so why should Sony get a free pass?"
Because Sony spent the last generation publishing multiple GOTY quality games each year, year after year. And Microsoft didn't... in fact, they spent most of the generation doing nothing.
"It’s all well and good having 25 games in developme...
From Software is owned by Kadokawa, it's one of the biggest media conglomerates in Japan. Sony doesn't need to buy them, they already have very strong ties with Kadokawa. Most all of Kadokawa's games are PlayStation only as it is. For example, Relayer which is PlayStation exclusive from Kadokowa's main studio.
They don't need to buy them to get exclusive games. That's why we keep hearing rumors of a new exclusive From Software game coming to Pla...
The 25+ games they are working on will actually sway people.
I find it interesting that it's mostly always the same people we see boosting xbox all the time that seem so concerned with Sony not having shows. I wonder why that is...
Sony got criticized for showing games to early and then criticized for downgrading games after they showed them. So now what they are doing is waiting until games are closer to release to show them.
The sad thing here is that unless you jump on the bandwagon and say the exact same thing everyone else is saying, you're attacked as some kind of fanboy.
I am not complaining about anything, I am satisfied with what Sony has shared.
Learn to read, I wasn't complaining about anything. I was making a comment about how OTHER people (xbox fans) complained that they showed Ghost of Tsushima (and other games) too soon even when their reveal was only two years before launch, then I was taking a jab at puddle gate where again people (xbox fans) tried to attack Insomniac for "downgrading" Spider-Man because they suppose...
Tempest can do hardware based Ray Traced Audio and well as numerous other real time audio manipulation techniques. Unlike Forza Horizon which has to use prebaked software ray tracing solution called project acoustics because Atmos is actually just Spatial Audio and doesn't have any real time audio processing.
Quote from the webpage:
Project Acoustics' philosophy is similar to static lighti...
But they have talked about tons of things (studio partnerships, publishing partnerships, 3'rd party exclusives, 1'st party exclusives, studio acquisitions), and they have been doing regular state of plays.
Let’s be honest here, Sony is releasing a 17 hour expansion to Ghost of Tsushima TOMMAROW, next month Kena, Death Loop and the Death Stranding expansion release. All of those games got featured in recent State of Plays and yet people still say Sony isn't show...
