Oh, you mean like when Phil was saying he didn't want to compete with the third parties and single player games weren't relevant so all the xbox fanboys were saying things like "exclusives don't matter"? If you're still an xbox fanboy after the near 7 year game drought, you have no footing to criticize anyone.
And are you criticizing Sony for putting games on PC when you xboners clearly have been defending day exclusives on pc for years?
...
His job is to make money, the important thing is how he uses that money. If he brings new games and makes good investments, then let him make as much money as he can.
"Funny because the 1st point mentioned is you telling me that I will at one point have to accept reality as publisher will eventually take note in futre."
I still agree, if games aren't selling as well as they are on other platforms, developers and publishers will take note.
I never changed my position on anything, I was pointing out that we keep seeing games that are selling 10% to 20% on xbox compared to Nintendo and PlayStation. You brought all the other things into it.
Madden NFL 22
49% of its sales came on PS5, followed by 32% on PS4, 13% on Xbox One and 7% on Xbox Series X/S
And there's was actually some news a couple weeks ago about how indies complains about how it was hard to sell on Playstation vs Xbox
https://dotesports.com/news...
Two no name Indies have nothing to do with the around a dozen cases of games both indie like Cris Tales and AAA like RE8 getting outsold by PlayStation 80-90%.
"Also you considered that a publisher will print less c...
This will be an unpopular comment, but I don't care...
Here we go with the dollar store'ification of game pass.
We sit here and watch as game pass moves the industry to lower budget and MTX based games. I hate to imagine where we will be by the end of the generation... Will it be streaming only low budget MTX games... is that the future?
I only hope PlayStation and Nintendo can remain competitive and continue to offer the quali...
"What excuses? that it's logical that playstation sell more games compared Xbox since there's a lot more playstation console in household?"
There aren't 80-90+% more PlayStations than Xbox's...
"Have you consider that perhaps the PS5 adopters are eager to buy new games for the sake of buying new game since the release of GOT basically gave to a rise all major PS5 titles or perhaps you can explain what's new In Spiderman ...
Which is interesting because wccfltech was quick to use really low res imaging to declare that PS5 didn't have Infinity Cache after multiple sources reported that PS5 did in fact have a reduced size cache similar in function to Infinity cache on RDNA2. Which of course was instantly bounced around the internet to "confirm" that PS5 didn't have Infinity Cache.
Of course others came out and said that the imaging was too low resolution to make any judgements ...
Make whatever excuse you want, the numbers remain the same. We see a repeating pattern of games selling 80-90+% of their copies on PlayStation over Xbox. And not just PlayStation, the PS5 versions are the leading sales platform even with a smaller install base. At some point you're going to have to accept the reality, it's up to you to decide how many games that takes.
But honestly, it doesn't even matter if you accept it, eventually the publishers will take ...
That's not really true, or at least off the mark. Games can still sell well, but what is true is there is market saturation, so the money is spread thinner as more games are released, and more gamers get (psychologically) locked into to live service crap by their own monetary investments.
But, this isn't a numbers issue, this is a percent issue. Regardless of if it's 10 or 10,000,000, Sony sold 8 out of every 10 copies of this game.
They used TSMC in the past. They only briefly used Samsung because they couldn't get space at TSMC, and they are moving back to TSMC for 5 nm for their 2022 chips.
You have to sell one before you can change anything...
Wow, so Intel is moving to TSMC?
That's terrible news, the idea that there is basically only one fabrication company in the whole world is just terrifying (and don't confuse me with any America first b.s.). At a time when production from this one fab is completely swamped, just piling on even more, not to mention the risk if something were to happen to TSMC.
I think yes, both because Microsoft will be less willing to pay as they start having their own games and also because publishers will start to reject the idea and/or want more money from Microsoft to make up for lost revenue from direct sales.
"The new release of the week was Madden NFL 22, which debuts at No.19 in the charts."
"49% of its sales came on PS5, followed by 32% on PS4, 13% on Xbox One and 7% on Xbox Series X/S."
So again we see another game where 80% of sales were on PlayStation, and this game isn't even on Game Pass.
