I waited for years before the PSP2 (aka PS VITA) was revealed.
Video games are such a compelling form of entertainment media that companies can literally ask its audience for a large chunk of their time and money while walking the fine line of producing a flop service or product each time out.
Looking forward to see what the next generation of gaming offers!

When the devs announced they where going to make a console version I was hoping for a VITA version.
I still hope that is the case because I want to play some more Terraria but with cross-game chat on the VITA.
Outside of UC:GA, not a lot of games on VITA push the hardware specs. 60fps and console level gfx sounds like VITA is really going to be put to the test.

Not to say one rumor is more valid than the next (the companies behind the hardware only know the facts) but I lean toward vg247 being more valid at this point.
But I agree there are a lot of rumors going 'round without either company making a public press releases.
Within the hour of my approving one rumor about "a" being more powerful than "b" I turn around and see this article saying "b" is more powerful than "a".
Man, I need to get paid for doing this stuff on N4G. :P

As you might expect, this rumor is a direct contradiction and calls PS4 more powerful.

The patent talks about using a device more the one you showed.
It was also used for mobile displays.
If Sony wanted, they could probably at least use it on the VITA and PS4's menus I bet.

That's probably what they will do. But, Valve might also be planning on launching it's on mini-Valve store for mobile games/apps.
I think they are taking a page out of PC and Sony's playbook (cross-content, PSM, etc) but making everything open sourced so you can also enjoy it outside of Valves Littlefoot/bigfoot hardware.
Sounds pretty smart to me.

This has to be the first rumor I have seen about price for next gen consoles.
VITA def needs more support from the third party Japanese devs. PSO2 and GE2 will be sweet, but we need a MH and FF type game as well.
The price cut will come, Sony has already said they are looking into making VITA costs less at retail. And something tells me even Sony want to cut vita memory card prices.
We should see a lot of new VITA stuff come to light by E3, perhaps even sooner.
It is pretty clear that Sony want PS VITA to succeed and do its own thing. At the time, a multitouch screen on the PS4 control itself would allow for nice, bonus cross-content.
