For me it is because the PS3 is at its peak. Feels silly to move on when the PS3 is taking shape so beautifully and just picking up steam, but necessary when I think of the fact that Sony doesn't want to get jumped by Microsoft again
Just one thing to say...
Don't they teach grammar in American schools anymore or did this guy just drop out?
On-topic: Developers go where the gamers go and gamers go where the games are. Sony should just impress with their first-party games at launch to draw in gamers. Furthermore, assuming Sony has a 6-month lead, third party developers will support them. Let's say the PS4 sells 5 million in those 6 months. 5 million gamers and growing. Which developer would just walk away from that?
Give it a rest Starfox. Your argument, like the console you support, is just invalid
Yet my grammar is that of a mature person and I have am not the one making pointless, senseless rants
Because f*@& logic
I feel guilty that i stopped reading at "Wii U is next gen". Forgive me
That's my country yo!
'murica. The world stretches far beyond New York people (although on the 20th of Feb, my world won't)
Sorry about that, I played it ages ago. That was the best game to play when my cousins came over or my brother wanted to play games with me. I really miss those "pick up the remote and join me" games
But why? Lol did you choose a crappy name the first time? ;)
My biggest would be region free, but only because I am living in Canada until the end of the year and plan on buying a PS4 here and taking it back to South Africa
I've read that Gaikai only needs 5Mb/s. So that's ~0.6MB/s. So you should get about 30 hours of gameplay (give or take) for 60GB. 250GB should give you about 130 hours of gameplay. That's not too bad I'd say. Considering most people will only use it for those really important PS3 games that they missed
Edit: But yeah, if you're running on your last 10GB don't expect to finish one of your PS3 games before the end of the month
Blowing up the Eiffel Tower was the coolest thing on Twisted Metal
Looks like it runs on a beta version of the original Source engine. Reminds me of Dust 2 on CS:Source
Metal Gear Solid is my favourite game series of all time. You need genius-level intellect to tell head from ass of the story, but somehow Kojima makes it so it doesn't even matter. You can feel the emotions of the characters so much in MGS4 that it feels like you have been on the entire journey with them and are drawn completely into their world. Kojima not becoming a Hollywood director like he dreamed of has spawned a series that will stand the test of time (at least the original story)....
I think you are all missing the bigger picture - Activision is actuallu making a NEW game! Whaaaaat?????? God I hate what that company has done to gaming recently (note how I say recently before flaming me). I dream of a world without them sometimes. Imagine what EA would have been if they weren't constantly trying to COD-up all their games to compete with Activision
I don't like outdated games. I don't know why, it just feels like I am talking a step back. The farthest I would go back is PS2 era. Maybe I'm just not a "true" gamer. Off-topic - I really hope to see a "50 games to play this gen" list near the end of this generation. I would buy an Xbox just to complete that list (I sold mine end of 2011)
I personally didn't like the Kevin Butler ads at all. He was a great character, sure, but he didn't sell the PS3 as much. They weren't very informative ads. The sad truth is that for North America, Sony needs to focus on conveying to the target market WHY the PS3 is better than the 360 (without saying it explicitly, of course). Hopefully the PS4 has at least a 6-month advantage over the next Xbox to really penetrate the market and let Sony build up and spread like a virus from the...
Crytek has never been able to optimize an engine. How long did it take for PC hardware to be able to run Far Cry and Crysis? Much better-looking games had been released for like a year after each of those games and PCs still couldn't max them out
